New Cream Ale Formula: Two row barley, a hint of wheat and noble hops make Carolina Blonde exactly what a craft brew American Cream Ale should be. Clean, refreshing flavor. Rich, golden color. Unmistakable smoothness. Brewed right here in North Carolina.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2014 Foithills’ reformulated version of Carolina Blonde is a cream ale; a style that is often thought of as a non-craft beer style. Unfortunately theirs doesn’t inspire greatness. It is a pretty golden pour, however, with some lacing. Well balanced and lightly fruity, but has a sort if noble twang thing in the finish that seems metallic, though this was the bottle version. Just ok. I prefer the prior formulation as a pile style beer.

12 oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pours golden-straw colored with a semi-durable white head. Light malty and yeasty aroma with a touch of citrus. Flavor follows. Clean and refreshing. Feel: light but not watery body; crisp, medium carbonation; semi-dry finish.

2015.07.09-Foothills Carolina Blonde-Sampler flight at Charlotte Airport. Not sure I am versed in the style but it's pretty OK. Very smooth, just enough hops to tell they are there, a hint of wheat graininess. Interesting but not super remarkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is indeed a disturbing universe. .. pours gold .. fine lacing .. hay and light straw .. almost no crispness .. nothing offensive, just boring and without flaws .. . . i wonder how long it took the joker to apply his makeup in the morning? or do you think he did it in the car on the way to the office?

Bottle from Food Lion. Pours clear yellow with a small white head. The aroma is a bit grainy, not much there. The taste is like wet cereal. Meh.

Good example of a cream ale. Not complicated, but good mouth feel and light flavor.

Mild some sweet aroma. Good not fully diminishing head. Mild iinital toast bitterness and ends with a slight earthy citrus. Body is light and creamy and has good lacing throughout and also fizzy carbonation throughout.

bottle, from Triangle Wine. ok aroma, sweet. fairly mild. straw, wet paper, hint of citrus. Clean golden yellow color, good initial head that faded to a ring, ok lace. sweet, though mild bitterness, flavor. light body, creamy mouthfeel, sweet finish it’s fine, better than I was expecting, decent flavor for the lower abv, fine lawnmower, not gonna excite people, but much better than some pale lager, IMO

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a completely transparent gold with white head. Smells and tastes of mild bitter hops with notes of yeast and wheat. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. An easy drinker with a bit of an extra hop kick for the style.
