New Cream Ale Formula: Two row barley, a hint of wheat and noble hops make Carolina Blonde exactly what a craft brew American Cream Ale should be. Clean, refreshing flavor. Rich, golden color. Unmistakable smoothness. Brewed right here in North Carolina.

Weird to see Foothills seeming to take over the Carolina Blonde; I guess they thought it was sort of iconic as one of the first popular (in-state) "Carolina" beers? Pours clear light gold, nose of sweet honey and corn. Slightly metallic. Refreshing and light, but not all that good.

bottle, from Triangle Wine. ok aroma, sweet. fairly mild. straw, wet paper, hint of citrus. Clean golden yellow color, good initial head that faded to a ring, ok lace. sweet, though mild bitterness, flavor. light body, creamy mouthfeel, sweet finish it’s fine, better than I was expecting, decent flavor for the lower abv, fine lawnmower, not gonna excite people, but much better than some pale lager, IMO

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a completely transparent gold with white head. Smells and tastes of mild bitter hops with notes of yeast and wheat. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. An easy drinker with a bit of an extra hop kick for the style.

Gatlinburg Walgreen’s bottle. Pretty tasty cream ale with good malt and enough hops to keep it interesting. Good for a style that can get boring.

Golden yellow pour with a thin white head. Taste is grassy and lacks any significant ale distinguishers.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma has straw, wet grass, and slightly stale hoppiness. Flavor has a slight malty sweetness, straw, and light grass...cerealy. mouthfeel is medium/full with a dry grassy finish. Flavor is much better than the aroma suggests.

Bottle from store. Aroma is skunky. Transparent yellow with plenty of carbonation. Salty initial taste transitions to unpleasant bitter aftertaste that won’t go away. Medium bodied, carbonated with foamy finish. This is one of the worst beers I’ve ever had.

Yellow with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of paper and corn with light malt and earthy hops. Wheaty malt papery and floral hops. Medium body with good carbonation.

From bottle. Poured golden in color with big white head. Aroma is malt with a touch of citrus hops and wheat. Taste follows with a clean cream ale taste and clean finish.

Clear amber pour. Stale smell and taste. If this is what an "American Cream Ale" should be, I’m moving to a different class!
