COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New Cream Ale Formula: Bright and crisp, this American Cream Ale stands out with just enough real strawberry aroma and flavor to keep your attention while remaining smooth and balanced from top to bottom. All carefully crafted here in North Carolina.

12. oz bottle courtesy of Paul Giesting; shared with Ally. Aroma: Smells pretty much like a classic cream ale; a more subtle aroma with lean malt character and maybe a hint of corn or other adjunct; strawberry is nowhere to be found. Appearance: Light copper pour with lively carbonation holding up a light, patchy skin of head. Flavor: Pretty much matches the nose, until this warms up. Upon warming, there is a faint amount of strawberries and cream in the aftertaste. Fairly dry finish. Palate: Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: It took time to appreciate this, and even then itís hard to get into. For me, the strawberry was just too subtle.

12 ounce bottle - $2.00 at Tasty Beverage Co. in Asheville, North Carolina.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow-hued body with a small-sized, white film of a head producing some scant lacing. While Iíd never go so far to say itís pink, itís like one released a lone drop of pink hue into the twelve ounces.

Smell: Thin hint of clean cereal grains and a little twinge of the berry.

Taste: Just like with the aroma, itís a scant, lightly grainy maltiness, very thin, really, with just the barest hint of sweetness. A very subtle, subtly tangy hint of strawberry. Minimal hop character, bitterness. A spoonful of grits and one final bit of strawberry on the crisp finish.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation though itís on the crisp side.

Overall: A light beer, a light fruitiness, but a fair amount of crisp carbonation. While refreshing and easy to drink, itís certainly not overly memorable.

On tap. Golden color with the ever-so-slightest twinge of pink, and a white head that doesnít really stick around. Aroma of malt and a little bit of strawberry. Flavor wasnít overly sweet, and the strawberry note doesnít overpower. I could deal with it as a summertime porch beer; itís certainly better than Abitaís strawberry beer.

12oz bottle from Ingles in Hickory. Gold pour with dirty white head. Aroma of dusty, berry, hay. Tastes are little sweet strawberry soda, little tart. Straightforward, crisp.

Better than the non-strawberry version. Slightly effervescent. Strawberry flavor is delicate.

12 oz. bottle. Pale gold color, with a medium, off-white, bubbly head. The aroma is weak nondescript berries, pine, flowers, and hay. A little sweet, acidic, and light, off-putting, sour aftertaste. Light to medium, sharp, and sticky. This is a surprisingly unpleasant beer. Wouldnít recommend.

bottle, from Triangle Wine, Morrisville. Ok aroma, sweet, strawberry is mild, but adds to the cream ale base. pinkiish yellow color, good initial head, faded quick, little to no lace. sweet, slight tart flavor. light body. smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet finish. itís fine, good for a lower abv beer, fairly mild fruit beer, which is kind of nice, as some can be too sweet.

On tap at the brewer. Almost clear pink beer, it looks like blush wine. Very small amount of head. Aroma contains only a slight hint of strawberries and the taste has more. Might be a good summertime sipper, or palate cleanser, but not a great Foothills beer. I almost regret getting it, but I think Iíd regret not knowing, more.

Not too bad for a beer that was taken over by a new brewery. Decent strawberry flavor, but there is much better ones out there!

Mostly clear medium yellow body with a generous white head that slips away quickly. Grassy, grainy aroma. No strawberry that I can detect. The flavor is lightly tart, lightly sweet. Again, no strawberry. So so blonde ale.
