Great label; pinky, misty gold beer with a low-density white head. Jammy, ceral aroma. Perfumy, tangy, low bittering, modestly sweet. Generally crisp, light body. Lightly tart aftertaste. Thanks to LuckyDog.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Huntersville, NC. Pours a clear amber color with a thin fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grainy malts, strawberries and a bit of caramelized sugar. The taste is tart strawberries and not much else. Faint graininess. Thin bodied. Refreshing, but not terribly exciting.

Very good smell...obviously of strawberry...taste is more mild than smell...wish it was bolder strawberry...very light hops...light beer

Pint on tap. Clear golden with a small ring of bubbles. Nose is faint strawberry and grass. Taste is the same. Thankfully the strawberry is not overdone, however there is little else in the aroma or taste to otherwise recommend. Light body is balanced and has medium carbonation. Inoffensive, but definitely only a beer of a last resort situation.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. One of the new Foothills offerings that I haven’t taken the opportunity to enjoy very often. I felt like a light refreshing ale tonight, so into the glass she goes! Pours a pale gold that is transparent. A large frothy white head billows forth. I can tell already this one is packing some carbonation. Nice subtle strawberry aroma, lemon ice, with a dry sawdust-like scent on the back end. Huge amounts of bubbles on the palate, this one is quite a scorcher for such a light "easy-drinking" ale. Tone that stuff down! Granted, I don’t want a flat beer, but this is a little overkill. Creamy corn-like grains with a kiss of sweet strawberries. There’s just a touch of tartness from the fruit on the finish, but it fleets away quickly. A good beer. About what I expected. One I would get again, but maybe on tap. These bubbles are wearing on me.

Not that different than the original Carolina version, which I described as "Smells and tastes likes a strawberry Jolly Rancher dissolved in a run of the mill golden ale". Maybe a little more hops, I guess.

bottle. golden with big two finger head. i don’t usually comment on the bottle, but i really dig the classic design of the label. pretty substantial strawberry, both sweet and tart. this melds well with the beer underneath. solid fruit beer.

Bottle, at OBX. Poured a golden color with slight pink hue. Lighter head. Aroma is strawberry for sure, and thats about it. Medium light sweetness. Slight sour. This is actually pretty refreshing. Almost wine cooler-like though. Strawberry taste also.

Pours a pinkish golden yellow. Aroma is earthy with a slightly tart overtone. Mouthfeel is like a wine cooler. Taste is slightly sweet but mostly tart with a noticeable strawberry flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
