True to its North Carolina roots, this American IPA delivers on the floral, hoppy notes that made Cottonwood a Boone, NC favorite. 100% malted barley and copious amounts Cascade, Magnum, and Chinook hops.

From bottle. Pours a nice deep amber color with small white head. Aroma was floral and citrus. Taste was a deeper malt, caramel and balanced with a nice bitter.

25-MAR-2013, bottle @Papsø tasting. Hazy golden with creamy off-white, lasting head. Aroma is tea and earthy hops but a little too weak. Taste is much better - again with tea and earthy notes but also some fruity stuff like peach. It is bitter alright with medium body and carbonation.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of SpringsLicker. Pours golden with a slight haze and a creamy and lacing white head. Spicy, citrusy nose with a hint of peaches. Medium body, biscuity sweet malts and a fairly solid dose of hops leading to a bitter finish. Quite nice. 250313

Easily the prettiest beer I have poured in a while. Very clear transparent light amber color. Small head sits on top. There is definitely a smell of some skunk weed in this one. It has a light airy citrus taste with just a hint of caramel. Not much. Just a hint. Hops are present, but Non offensive and easy to drink.

Pours a nice clear amber with a two finger head that leaves some lacing behind, nose has a nice mix of citrus and earthy hops with some bready malts lingering in the background, taste is of citrus and pine and hints of apple very citrusy with a slight bitterness in the finish, kind of walks the line of an Ipa and an aggressive pale ale but non the less a solid beer ...cheers

A pretty pour with a solid one-finger white head. Clear as a bell, amber. Aroma really shines with a nice mix of caramel backbone, citrus and floral notes. That said, the bright nature of the hops in the aroma does not carry over into the flavor. The hop character is darker and more earthy. Slightly on the thin side, with an aggressive bitter whack at the end, Endo is well done, but not a top tier player.

Stopped by the pub for some Sexual Chocolate after work yesterday, after which I decided on this as my "cool down" beer. Came out a crystal clear orange, no haze at all. Nice finger-width foamy cap. Good lace sticks to the glass. Smells fresh with lemon-lime, orange zest, grassy hops. Not too sharp, but just a nice pleasant citrus aroma. The body is easy-drinking. Moderate-to-light body, good carbonation, clean finish. My buddy got the Hoppyum as his "closer," so I took some sips to compare this version to their standard IPA. I’ve also had that one many times, so I had a nice comparison. Where that beer is juicy and fresh-tasting, this beer comes across a little muted. This is more like an IPA-light. Definitive bittering hops, but there is no lasting flavor on the finish. Mild citrus, slight peppery flavor. Finish is a little dull. All in all, I much prefer their Hoppyum to this one, but it wasn’t too bad. I may have it again, but most likely will reach for better tasting IPAs when available.
