3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear medium brown body with a tall, off-white head.
Sweet, nutty malt aroma. no hops.
The flavor is sweet but a good crisp hop bitterness balances this out nicely.
Decent, I’ve had many that were far worse and a few better.

Bottle. Pours brown, thin tan head. Aroma of nuts, chocolate malt, floral. Medium sweet roasty taste. Medium-light body, slightly above average carbonation, relatively sharp lingering bitter finish. Texture sticks. Overall an average brown ale, good for the purchase price of $7 for a 6-pack on sale.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Foothills during my visit to my future city. Pours a murky mahogany with minimal head. Aroma has mild chocolate malt nuttiness and caramel. Flavor is dominated by pine hops. They cover the caramel and nutty malt flavors way too much. Stinging unpleasant finish. I like my brown ales roasty and toasty, not hoppy.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark copper with creamy head. Aroma of caramel, bread, and a bit of nuttiness. Taste is very bland. A little sweet toffee and slight bitterness, but mostly water. Could drink quite a few due to the wateriness, but that isn’t a compliment. Pretty disappointing brown ale from Cottonwood. I’d expected more after I heard Foothills took over there brewing operation.
