COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp, dry ale uses cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger brewed with real pumpkin and a blend of North American and British malts to give Mom’s pumpkin pie some serious competition. A fall favorite skillfully brewed by Foothills.

Purchased on vacation at Atlantic Beach, NC 2013. Pumpkin spice clove scent, lacking appearance due to little head, lighter body crisp feel, with a pumpkin nutmeg fronted taste some ginger sneaking in on the back end. Overall, a decent pumpkin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Foothills. Orange colored pour with a white head. Spicy smell, full of nutmeg and cinnamon. Smooth and pretty easy to drink - big amount of spice comes through but its not overwhelming. Lively and good - much better than the previous batch from the old Carolina brewery.

Bottle:   Amberish, a bit dirty, fine sediment floats about, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Nose of cinnamon and apple, some clove as well.   Spicy on the tongue, cinnamon, nutmeg, the aformentioned clove (a bit stronger here), with a touch of ginger (just a touch).   Body and mouthfeel are moderate... could stand to be a touch chewier tho.   Finishes very spicy, they linger long past the finish.   Mild to moderate sweetness, provides the right balance.   Nice example of a pumpkin ale, and what I look forward to during the Autumn months.

Nope. Regular pumpkin, coriander and nutmeg. Just not a great balance and kind of watery

A solid, balanced spiced ale. This is more about the spices (dominant) then the pumpkin (secondary) flavors. Smooth, easy drinking, Glad to see this being brewed back in NC by people who really love making beer.

Clean copper gold pour with one finger of off white head. Spicy nose with a nice biscuity/toasted grain character. Grainy and lightly herbal in the flavor with some spice coming through for sure.

Maybe a bad pour/batch. But not a superstrong pumpkin ale. The elements were there, but just was not balanced well. Too much cinnamon too, and flat taste. I’ll pass over for better pumpkin options.

Deep cloudy layered orange yellow red brown with a thin spitty fizzy white head. Nose is light skunk water, heavy spice, no pumpkin. Flavor is more o the same-lots of cinnamon and nutmeg. No gracias.

Bottle. Orange-amber with a short, foamy white head. Aroma is soft cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and light pumpkin pie. Taste is strong clove, cinnamon notes, ginger and nutmeg with hints of pumpkin pie. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more clove, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and light pumpkin pie.
