COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp, dry ale uses cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger brewed with real pumpkin and a blend of North American and British malts to give Momís pumpkin pie some serious competition. A fall favorite skillfully brewed by Foothills.

At the brewpub for $3 pints, and started out with this one. My first (and probably only) Pumpkin Ale of the season. Came out a deep dark orange, with a nice frothy cap. The nose is sweet with pumkin spice, nutmeg, cinnamon - not surprising. Slick feel. Sweet pumpkin, that isnít as artificial-tasting as I remember. The pumpkin is also a little more subtle, but in its place there is an overwhelming spice profile, that isnít all that refreshing. All-in-all though, itís not a bad autumn drink, but I couldnít see myself having any more than 1 of these at a time, or even more than 1 in a season for that matter.

Pours a clear golden with a bit of amber. Normal head volume and lacing, outstanding retention. Rich outstanding nose of pumpkin, spices (nutmeg, clove, ginger) and light biscuit malt. Light body with a texture slightly smoother than water. Superb carbonation with a nice effervescent middle and a prickly burst in the finish. The flavor profile is very good, but is a bit light on intensity and is very well balanced. Spices appear in a blended fashion and never really separate. The middle hints at bitterness and provides a balancing biscuit. The finish is a slow light spicy fade.

Bottle from trio. Pours hazy golden with a medium sized white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma has a bit of cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg. Very little gourd to this guy. The taste has a bit of the spices from the nose but ends with a very astringent flavor. Not good and too light for the roughness to be covered.

Nice crystal clear light amber pour, with s thin off white head. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice with baked pumpkin. Taste is mostly the the same, with the spices taking front seat and pumpkin in the background. Not much hop taste. Light-medium body, average carbonation. Really it is over-spiced in my opinion. Not bad.. but not great.

Just what you expect from a pumpkin ale. Nutmeg. Cinnamon. Pumpkin. Might be served in a glass with sugar on the rim.

12 oz. bottle. Pours ruby brown, with a thin head. The aroma is pumpkin and yams, brown sugar, cloves, and some light cinnamon. Very sweet, some mellow vegetal and spice notes. Medium body, sticky, and a little warming. This is a nice, understated pumpkin beer. Mellow spice and an easy flavor.
