From a bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours amber with a one inch head and decent lacing. Aroma is citrus with a hint of pine. Taste is citrusy with a piney resin. Palate is a hint of bitterness. A phenomenal IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle that bob brought back from Myrtle beach, had at Father’s day party at my house. Aroma is high in grapefruit, pine, and some citrus. The color is dark orange with a frothy off white head. The flavor is pine up front with resin in the rear followed by some citrus, with a nice malt backbone of some caramel and toffee. It is a nice and heavy IPA body.

Taste is simple. The bitterness is a little astringent for my taste and hangs on the palate. Not bad, but the type of IPA I try to stay away from.

Toffee notes in the nose along with citrus. Clear gold with minimal lacing and retention. Resinous mouthfeel. Dry. Good fresh tasting drinkable.

22oz bomber with no date. Pours murky orange with thin, tight head, lots of floaters. Aroma is standard hops of pine and resin, no citrus, some maltiness. Taste is dated, not bad though. Maltiness comes with some honey and really bitter hops finish. Lots of pine resin and bitter finish. I bet this one had some age so the eating was lower but probably good if fresh.

Great palate. A beautiful balance of bitter hops and sweet citrus. Great light amber/orange color. ALC: 6.25% IBU: 78 SRM: 7.1 This is not my favorite beer ever, but definitely my favorite brewery! Definitely recommend trying Jade IPA, also by Foothills.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow to light amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit, orange, apricot). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy/watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. This is a pretty ballsy example...juicy/fruity in the nose, and quite sweet in the mouth (although the combo of citric acidity and brash bitterness balance it, it’s a bit too aggressive in total for my tastes). Almost drinks more like a DIPA.
