Pours dark orange with a thin carbonated head. The best part about this beer is the body with a nice blend of citrusy hops. However, it finishes with strong notes of caramel and is quite carbonated. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very nice IPA. Some citrus and grapefruit with bitter pine to close. Bready backbone is a bit weak and the sweetness has a bit of breadiness to it.

Worthy amount of yum in hoppyum. Richly flavored, malt-wise and hop-wise. Malt flavors are cakey, cookie-like and doughy. Nice amount of sweetness. Hops are green, grassy and citrusy. Good balance. Finishes a little sticky, but not too bad. Hop profile is fantastic. Tasty stuff.

Bottle. Hazy amber with a fluffy 1 finger white head and some floaties. Aroma is dank, piney, dusty and citrusy. Taste follows suit but shows the fruit off a little more. Lots of orange, lemon and grapefruit. Juicy and light with moderate carb. Really drinkable.

Bottle on 5/914. Pours a mildly cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is faintly hoppy. Taste is malty, sweet, nutty, and some fruit, bitter towards the end. A bit more bready than a lot of IPAs I’ve had recently. Without looking it could pass as a hoppy red ale. Its nice.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is nice grapefruit citrus hops with some pine notes mixed in. Maybe a really light malt but overpowered by the hops. Appearance is a golden with an amber hue and a medium white head that diminishes quickly. Taste has got a nice grapefruit hop note with very light malts. Palate is bitter with a hop note in the aftertaste. Tasty just not stellar. Cheers!

Pours copper with an off white head that quickly fades to a ring around the glass. Aroma of oranges, hops, with a hint of caramel, which I assume comes from the malts. Taste is full of bitter hops, a faint bready malt backbone, and more bitterness. Solid. Nice lasting flavor, coats the mouth. Pretty good IPA, fairly regular on the shelves here in Chattanooga. It’s a good one. One of the go to session ales for me.

22 oz. bomber. Poured hazy orange with minimal head but left solid lacing. Slight grassy nose. Flavor of grass, pine, orange, and grapefruit. Moderate bitter finish. Fairly ordinary IPA.

Down in Chapel Hill for work. Bought a bomber of Hoppyum to try in my hotel room. Pours a golden straw color. slightly lighter than Sam Adams. Had a solid 2 inch head. Very hoppy aroma. Could smell it a few feet away after pouring. Smell is slightly earthy grass. Good amount of malty smell too. Pretty tasty. It is bitter, but it definetally has a solid malt backbone. Has a mild grassy taste, with a bread malt flavor.
