Thanks Jerc. The aroma has a little bit of light zest and a bit of pine. Sort of a dank aged hop aroma along with a bit of salty character. A little bit of light pepper. Meh. It’s not got the fresh character that I like in an IPA.

22oz bottle from JCB, thanks Jason! Pours a crystal clear, deeper gold, light orange colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a really pretty lacing. Aroma is quite nice with big Simcoe earthy hops, a moderate grapefruit pine, and lots of really nice, bright grassy florals. Tangerines and pineapples with some peach as well. The malts are light, but offer a solid sweetness to balance with a light honey, caramel, and crisp pale malts. Flavor is similar. Lots of florals, citrus tangerines and pineapples, and earth up front before a slightly sweet, honey, caramel, pale malt backing balances nicely. Grapefruit and grass comes on nicely towards the end as well as more earthy Simcoe and a light resin as this finishes dry, grassy, earthy, and moderately bitter with a citrus and slight honey sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light, smooth, juicy body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, an excellent, way too easy drinking IPA. The balanced, dry bitterness and juicy citrus goes really well with the distinct English pale malts and slight honey-caramel sweetness. I love the big Simcoe and floral hop mix with all the citruses. I had average expectations for this, but it exceeded them big time. Great beer.

Bomber courtesy of kubrick215. Thanks again Josh! Pours a dark golden orange color with a two finger, frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick lasting ring. Sporadic streaks and spots of lace left behind. Earthy hop aroma with a good balance of grassy pine, citrus rind and pale malts. Floral with some resinous oil countered by subtle lemon peel and grapefruit. Malt presence is faint with hints of caramel and biscuit. The nose is decent but could use more of a citrus/tropical presence. Medium bodied and well balanced with earthy and floral hops countered by a sweet malt backbone. Floral and slightly bitter up front but not overly dry with subtle pine needle flavor. This is countered by a faint citrus sweetness with hints of orange peel, pineapple and grapefruit. Underneath, there is a stronger malt character than I prefer with some caramel, toffee and biscuit. Well balanced and pretty quaffable but a bit malty for my liking. Also, could use more citrus character.

This one pours a pretty clear amber with a thick, fluffy and rather persistent white head that leaves substantial lacing. Hoppy aroma has a yeasty overtone and earthy and grassy notes plus a hint of malt. Flavor has a grassy, herbal overtone, some hops, some malt, and an earthy underpinning with a whisper of fruit. Smooth texture has average body and a decent amount of fizz. Definitely a worthy IPA.

Hap on tap. Arrived a hazy dark orange with a thick head and great lacing. Smelled strongly of piny and earthy hops with some caramel malt coming through. Flavor had quite a bit of hop flavor up front, piny, leading to a strong bitterness. Some bready and caramel malt was detectable underneath the bitterness. Some alcohol detectable on the finish. A very good beer that I would definitely seek out again.

22oz. Bottle: Got in trade from Phaleslu; THANKS Peter! Aroma of hops, pine, resin, hop oil, light grass, citrus, and light malt. Poured amber/orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Sparkling. Fair lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, resin, hop oil, caramel malt, light grass. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Caramel malt, hop, pine, resin, finish is medium to heavily bitter, medium sweet, and dry.

Bomber--wow! How did I miss this beer before? Pours with a totally charming, large frothy that dissipates but leaves plenty of lacing. The color was a golden orange with a decent amount of carbonation. A really strong and fresh aroma of grapefruit hits the nose. The taste is sweeter than most IPAs I have come across with the citrus taste dominated. A nice smooth finish that wasn’t lip smacking at all. Love it. Bruisin Ales. 4.75.
