3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Picked up one of these yesterday at the Frisco Sandwich Shop in Frisco, NC while on vacation. I can’t give a description of the appearance since it was consumed out of a bottle and describing the taste (didn’t take notes) won’t be easy but I recall nice pine notes in both the aroma and taste. There was also a mild sweetness. Overall this beer was much better than I expected and better than your run of the mill IPA. If I get a chance to pick up another this week I will update this review but it was decent.

Hopfiger, deutlich getreidiger Antrunk. Grasig, bitter, fruchtiger Noten sind in angenehmem Umfang vorhanden, darunter Grapefruit. Rund, vielleicht etwas zu grasig. 10/9/10/9/11/9

Thanks John! Pours a bright clear amber with a small tan head. Smells of grapefruit, citrus, light malt. The taste is as it smells with a dry and hoppy finish. light/medium in body with smooth carbonation. Pretty nice stuff!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to glass. Pours a clear amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is a light hay with floral/grassy hoppy notes. Maybe its because its the holidays, but I also catch a spicy clove like character. Flavor is a more subdued hop, with earthy grassy notes. Light to medium in body with a lingering earthiness in the finish. Not my favorite IPA, but definitely drinkable.

Pours nicely into pint glass with little head. The color is a fantastic golden amber. Wonderful caramel aroma with floral scents. Great hoppy flavor but not overwhelming. Excellent bitter finish. I will definitely buy this again.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice pine and citrus aroma right when you pop the cap. Standard looking IPA color and excellent bitter dry taste. Nice tropical fruits. Not and in you face hop bomb but just a really well done IPA. Nothing bad to say about it. Had it on tap and in bottle in North Carolina. Great stuff.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Smells and tastes like hops, true to its name. Pours pale amber, translucent with a good amount of sediment. Finger and a half of white head quickly dissipates. Taste has a bitter finish, more bitter than I like but consistent with the IPA style. I can’t call it drinkable or enjoyable, but I can definitely appreciate it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured amber with a frothy head that disappeared quickly. Aroma is all hops, but I catch a hint of citrus. Taste is the same although I can pick out the citrus easier while tasting it. Bitter start and finish with a lingering aftertaste. Not much for strong hop flavor but this one is balanced well for my liking.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber pour with biscuit, cracker and toasty malts with city and flowery hops and some fruits mixed in. Flavor is toasty and biscuity malts with some mild citrus and flowery hops. Good beer for how biscuity it was.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
FROM NOTES: July 1, ’12
Poured at the Mellow Mushroom in Asheville, NC.
A: Grapefruit and orange citrus notes, floral hops and some pine notes as well. Not really a complex beer, but the hop profile smells good and seems to be well-balanced.
A: Pours a slightly hazy apricot color with a half-finger white head that dissipated slowly, leaving a decent lacing behind.
T: Follows the nose up front. I get a lot more pine resin in the taste than I detected in the nose. Slightly malty, adding a bit more body and a touch of complexity to the taste. Bitter at the finish.
P: Somewhere between light bodied and medium bodied with very little carbonation. In my opinion, a little more carbonation would help open this beer up. Nice drying finish.
O: Very drinkable and quite tasty. Not a whole lot of complexity, but done well and tasty.
