gotohelunc (325), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA May 7, 2008 Updated: Jun 9, 2008 Draft at Flying Saucer. Slightly hazy, dark yellow color. Very minimal head but large carbonation bubbles stayed in the beer the whole way down. Grainy aroma with some lemons and bananas. Taste is sharp and clean with a blend of bananas, lemon, and a bit of spice. None of the flavors are very powerful, so it’s somewhat watery, but for a light summer beer, this goes down smooth, finishes cleanly, and is quite refreshing.
mhelgason (415), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Jun 30, 2008 On tap. Not sure if I got a bad tap or what but I noticed lots of grass in the aroma. Also noticed some wheat and some light yeasts. Really did not enjoy this one from a usually very good brewer. biznizness (670), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Jun 28, 2008 Perfectly acceptable hefeweizen, although nothing that really rocked my socks off. I don’t know about the tapicoa nose... must have missed that. ucusty (849), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jun 9, 2008 hazy yellow pour, fluffy white head. Banana on the nose. Typical wheat beer banana, clove, and citrus. durhambeer (323), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 3, 2008 On tap at WBF in Raleigh. A solid Hefe. Pale hazy bright golden pour with generous head. Wheat, lemon, a little creaminiess on the nose. Not overspiced. Solid. Don’t usually give shout-outs to labels, but this is a really great label.
