3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of Liz Gamble’s gentleman suitor.
Pours a hazy gold with a decent enough head and some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is hop forward with a good little bit of melon like hops as well as some citrus and a good bit of that funkiness that I only ever get from citra hops. There is a touch of carmel & grass in there as well.
The flavor is a touch on the bitter/astringent side for what I prefer in an IPA, it’s not bad though it’s got a nice bunch of juicy hoppiness and keeps things very low on the sweetness. Some orange rind & tropical fruit notes are in there, I think the more I drink it the less I’m getting that astringency, not sure if it’s my palate warming up to it or the beer "opening up" but I am enjoying it a lot more halfway through the glass than I was on the onset.
I am hoping Ajax searches for Lushawn again sometime soon.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had on tap at Barley’s with the weirdest "french fries" ever. Can’t always just a book by its cover. Pours really pale and clear- looks like it will have nothing to it. Taste is miles from what I expected. Crisp and clean- tons of grapefruit and flowers. Maybe the lighter malts let hops come through more cleanly? Decently bitter finish, but not off-putting. As good as Hoppyum if not better.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Ruckus Morrisville on draft. One of my local favorites, my go to IPA. Lots of grapefruit on the nose, quickly disipating head. Crisp and refreshing - great summer beverage.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Barley’s August 2013. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium sized frothy off white head. The aroma and flavor has resin, citrus and earthy hops, caramel, toasted bread with good bitterness to the finish. Solid enough IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Juicy hop aromas, peach, mango, some floral tones. Clear orange-gold with a fairly lasting white head. Bitter, hop-forward, juicy hop flavors are dominant, some grainy malts, a little soapy at the end. Medium bodied, somewhat sticky, finishes with a long-lingering hoppy bite.
