Soft light blonde pour with one finger of off white head. Nose is dry and zesty with a lightly citrusy character and lots of crushed black pepper. Resinous and oily with a very green/fresh hop character and notes of citrus and a lightly spicy character. Dry and light bodied.

Originally reviewed: 2/7/11. Came out a clear dark orange/gold. This is a little more pale than I expected. A small white head caps it off, but this leaves lots of sticky lacy rings on the glass. The aroma on this beer is nothing short of amazing. Very powerful scents of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, mango. Total citrus bomb! Slight peppery finish. I could smell this all freaking day. Perfect. Nice mellow depth, with a crisp finish. The bubbles play lightly on the palate. This is a hop head’s IPA for sure. Big bitterness all the way through, but more than that, the hops are juicy and full of flavor. Citrus tones lead the way, mild sweetness in the middle, but this is fleeting. Oily at times, but dries me out on the back end. It then finishes how it started: bitter. Great IPA that hit the spot.

Pint at Brewpub. Real good aroma, sweet. Citrus, peach, apricot. Biscuity too. Tad hazed golden orange color. Good head that faded to a ring, minor lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, bitterdry finish. Darn good , aroma my favorite part, citra and jade are nice. Flavor more grapefruit. Very easy to drink.
