4/17/16. 12oz bottle from Craft on Draft. Wow, I wonder how many times I have skipped this one figuring I had already rated it. Good beer, too, so a shame to boot! Black pour under a small tan head, good lacing. Light aroma, touches of chocolate, dry dark malts, cream and light caramel. Great flavor, smooth as all hell, milk chocolate, cream, just a touch of roasted malts and dryness. Balanced, not too bitter, and quite tasty.

Bottle from Whole Foods Arlington. Dark brown body with mocha head. Nose is caramel, chocolate and coffee. Taste is also coffee and chocolate and quite nice. Good stuff really all around. Creamy texture. Very smooth, with nice espresso in the finish - Porter to the People!

Not the richest of porters but there’s a nice cocoa and very light roast that make it a solid porter.

Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is nutty with Java and dark fruits. Flavor is very smoky with plenty of creamy Java action. Get it on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, near black body with a half-inch, dark beige foam cap. Smell: Heavy on the roast, cocoa and chewy caramel backed with a soft, subtle fruitiness. Taste: Bitterish flavor of cocoa powder and roasted malt with a vein of dark caramel sweetness. Slightly nutty. A touch of hop bitterness. Earthy, espresso-y taste. PP finishes out fairly bitterish and roasty. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Decent, drinkable.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2016 Draft. Big chocolate aroma, big chocolate flavors with a hint of an espresso chaser, maybe a bit of vanilla too. Nothing subtle about this!

Aroma is roasted chocolate and vanilla with slightly bitter malts in the body. Slightly vanilla aftertaste as well.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown body with a one finger frothy light brown head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is pretty nice, lots of chocolate malt with lighter roast and dark fruit. The flavor is a bit heavy on the burnt and roasted malt for my tastes in the style. The heavy chocolate note that was in the nose is not there in the flavor. This really tastes more stout-like than it does a porter. Medium bodied with just a slight cling on the finish and soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, I thought I’d like this one a little more than I did.
