Thanks to PaulUnwin for sharing this one! Cheers, Paul! Pours a porter brown with an off-tan head. Nose is earthy unsweet chocolate, some hops, and some espresso. Flavor is similar- all manner of unsweet dark porter flavors- espresso, earth, and unsweet chocolate. Medium in body and noteworthy overall.

A very dark brown colored beer with a khaki colored head. The aroma is quite roasty with a little bit of toffee and chocolate. There is a little bit of toasted malt and perhaps a hint of coffee. A little light in the flavor department; it’s sort of watery. There is a definite bitterness to it, however. Still, some roasted malt and a light toffee and chocolate sweetness to it. A bit of a let down.

Pint from Flying Saucer Nashville. Pours a thick black syrup with a tan head and lacing all over the glass. Initial taste was extremely satisfying with enormous tones of dark chocolate and sweet malt. This Porter almost is too sweet would like a bit more smokiness but still a solid Porter!

22 ounce bomber that poured a dark brown color with aromas of chocolate, toffe, caramel and light floral hops. Flavor is much the same, and lighter on the palate then I expected.

Bomber shared by Mattyb83 pours dark brown/black with slight amber hue and a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee, caramel, Belgian yeast, and coffee. Taste of candied chocolate, licorice, bitter ash tray/ tobacco, and hops. Pretty interesting flavor combos for a porter.

Bottle. Cola brown in color with a medium sized khaki head. Aroma is tobacco (toasted?), leather, and slightly smokey. Not expecting that. Really enjoying it, though. Slight bit of dark chocolate in there as well. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, espresso, tobacco leaves, and slightly ashy. Quick, dry finish. One of the best porters I’ve had.

22oz bottle from JCB, thanks Jason! Pours a very deep brown colored body with an inch thick, foamy and creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a solid lacing. Aroma is big dark and dry chocolates, some toffee sweetness, lots of ashy roasts, some grainy bread, a touch of milk chocolate, and a light earthy bitterness. Flavor is moderately bitter and roasty up front with a nice dry dark chocolate. Some more grainy bread, a nice toffee sweetness, and a good amount of earth with more dry roasts. A light milk and dark chocolate sweetness finishes with the dry, somewhat ashy roasts and moderate earthy bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste with ash, hops, and a light malt sweetness sticking out following a medium body and a fairly lively carbonation. Overall, a really nice porter. Lots of dry, robust, slightly ashy roasts and earthy hops all balanced well with a light, but solid chocolate and English toffee malt. The carbonation works really well with this and keeps it very easy drinking. Great beer.

Bottle back from best way. Really nice smooth toasty porter with a creamy texture. Little milk chocolate action goin on. The treatments on this are going to be worth checking out.
