COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light golden golden ale made with wheat and pale malt. Lightly hopped with Hallertau and Saaz hops. Foothills is proud to introduce Salem Gold to our new hometown. This is our lightest beer, but one of our best. Color-3 Lovibond; IBU-14

Not bad for a light beer. Some flavor... waitress compared it to a bud light, but it was alot better than that. Low Alcohol not bad if you want several.

From sampler flight at Foothills. Slightly cloudy. Bit watery and thin. Perhaps a beer to appeal to the masses but Foothills makes much better beer than this.

A golden ale with a thin white head, lacing. In aroma, a smooth biscuitty malt with light hopping. In mouth, a smooth caramel malt with smooth German hops, quite nice. On tap at the brewpub, August 13, 2011.

6 oz sample at Foothills on 7/24/11. pale yellow pour with thin white head. straw / wheat / light hop nose. medium body with some bright hops up front. crisp and easy drinking. light spicy bitterness on the finish. did not realized this was a wheat ale... not typical to style.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty aroma with weak hoppy hints. Fruity malty grainy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a light golden color with a bit of haze and a white head with pretty good lacing on the way down. The nose is light honey and malt with a bit of citrus. Taste is ligtly sweet malt. Light feel with a pretty good body, and this goes down quite easily. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-11-2010

On tap at Foothills brewpub, Winston-Salem NC in July 2006. Pale gold colour. The sort of beer most US brewpubs seem to make to cater for the BMC drinkers. Within those parameters, it’s a competent rendition of the style. Light and innocuous. Clean and easy-drinking. Not much to it but fine, as far as it goes.
