Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium to heavy resin and citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good not standout beer.

Bomber from Gail’s in Hickory. Gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma is lots of citrus/grapefruit and light pepper. Tastes are distinctly different - sweet caramel malts up front and then floral, light citrus bitter (w/ the pepper). Very nice.

651mL from Carrboro Beverage Co. Pours a full haze orange with a dense, creamy, buttermilk head. Large formation, good retention. Thick meringue lacing. Nose is sweet strawberry, jammy, some air freshener/detergent, orange gummies. Small white alcohol and estery banana. Taste is dry, very nutty, walnut and Brazil nut meat and skin. Tannic, very bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle, shared by jmborggren. Hazy amber / orange color. Little off-white head. Couple dots of lace. Smooth, lighter crisp carbonation. Bigger body. Good citrus, pine, resiny hop aromas. Grapefruit. Nice resiny grapefruity long hop aftertaste. Zesty sweet, moderate bitter. Nice, flavorful, assertive DIPA.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden/orange color with a very small head. A little bit of hoppy notes to it, but I smell a bit of metal, even though it came from a glass bottle. A bit of citrus to the taste, with some of the characteristic bitterness. Not a bad one...

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2012 Pours dark orange with a white head that lingers. Sweet malt and cirtus hop aroma. Malty sweet but nicely balanced with the classic heavy hop bitters.

On tap at Packs Tavern in Asheville, NC Hops, malt & honey in aroma. Cloudy gold with no head. Tons of hops - mostly pine & grapefruit - enough to make my eyes water a bit. A good amount of sweet malt complements well. I did not taste any alcohol at all. Very drinkable, considering all that’s going on here. Excellent.

Tap. Amber with minimal head. Big beer. On the boozy side. Some malt in the body. More bitter than hoppy. The single IPA is much better IMHO.
