The aroma is of citrus. It;s a golden color that is tinged by orange. It is slightly hazy, but looks lively with a white, pillow head. There are grapefruit notes with orange and plenty of citrus bite. It’s actually has a bit of sweetness in it, which is not like most hoppy brews.

Awesome double ipa, on tap in blowing rock, lots of hops and piney citrus yum

22oz bottle from Brewmasters in Wilson. Orange/Brown hue with hazy clarity, fizzy white initial head mostly diminishing. Heavy citrus, orange & grapefruit hoppy aroma. Heavy to harsh bitter hop taste up front with a moderate bitter citrus average finish. I have liked this beer since the first time I tried it.

This one smells fantastic and tastes even better. Just a hint of citrus and super hoppy. Doesn't taste as strong as it is. Drink this one. It is excellent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy orange golden with a fair eggshell head that settles slowly and leaves some spotty lace. Nose involves prominent honey, pine, grapefruit, lemon, herbs, and spice. Taste is pretty sweet and pretty bitter, so pretty balanced. Medium bodied, oily, vibrant, fairly active, with a lengthy honey tinged herbal bitter finish. Very nice brew, not bombastic, just well made, drinkable, with plenty of hop complexity.

22 oz. bottle from vacation to Atlantic Beach, NC 2013. Bright zesty citrus scent with sweet toffee undertone. Low head to white ring over burnt orange dark copper body. Medium slightly dry palate. Large bitter citrus zest front to mellow toffee fruit punch flavor. As Bill & Ted said, "Excellent!" ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Wine Warehouse. Hazy deep golden amber with a creamy white head. The nose is quite sweet. Mandarin orange, peach, mango fruit leather. A decent dollop of caramel. C-hop flavors. Lemon pith, more mango. More caramel. Sugary donut. Sort of sticky, hot on the finish. Sort of flabby, as you’d expect for the punchy ABV. Full body, fine carbonation. Overall, decent enough, but lacks the effortless drinkability of the very best in the style. A bomber of this is too much.

I was quite excited to try this beer. While this was a solid brew, my lofty expectations were not met. Poured a hazy amber with white head. Where’s the beef, er, malts? Stayed quite bitter all the way through. Scent was piney and grassy. Assume this is an unfiltered beer, as there was sediment in the pour. Bottle - Trade from jrob21

Bomber all to myself! Pours a deep orange color with about half a finger of off white head. There are some serious floaters in this beer that sit suspended in the beer. The aroma is very fruity with notes of citrus. On first taste there is a lack of astringent hop presence that I crave in IIPA’s but it finishes with a nice citrus and floral hop bitterness. This is a solid IIPA that wears its 9.5% well.

Pours a slightly hazy honey-orange color with a large off-white bubbly head. Huge aroma, Bitter grapefruit citrus up front, some nice mango notes, a little floral, slightly boozy and a nice warm malt note in the back. Lots of bitterness on the taste, somewhat piney, lots of citrus and grapefruit, caramel, bready malt, and a fantastic floral character. Booze is hidden well in the taste, fruity and floral hop profiles meld great and the malt balances it all out fantastically.
