General_Gao (2434), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jan 15, 2006 Updated: Mar 14, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Hazy light brown color with tan head that laced the glass. Cotton candy, flowery hop nose and flavor. Slightly sweet with bitter finish. Very good beer.
Butters (305), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 10, 2008 What a treat for my 300th! On draft at the brewpub. A truly great brew from a small local brewery. Pours a translucent tangerine orange with some cloudiness and sustainable light tan ring of head. Aroma reminded me of a Hopslam. Flavor of earthy pine with some notes of nugget and honey. Medium body with fair carbonation made for dangerously easy drinking. Lingering hop bitterness. chronictonic (349), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 29, 2008 tap - asheville bier garden
hazy orange color with a thick white head. Big floral citrus aroma. Smooth, round full mouth feel with excellent carbonation. Huge hop flavor, leaning towards astringent bitterness, but also good amounts of fresh hop juciness. Flavors were floral with strong resiny sap notes. Long (long) lasting bitterness. Best NC beer I’ve had. Miver (376), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 28, 2008 From growler thanks to Axilla. Poured hazy copper amber in color with a foamy tan head that left lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus hops, oranges, and a sweet malty backbone. Tastes of orange peel, pine, citrus hops with a linguring sweet mouthfeel. Not a bad IIPA. Dickinsonbeer (2512), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jul 27, 2008 Growler, sampled at the 1st Annual Shenandoah Beer Throwdown, courtesy of TURDFERGUSON. Thanks, Sam! Nice appearance- mostly clear fruity deep prangey amber with a nice tacky tight white head. Aroma is amarillo hops- porangey citrus with some cat piss and a moderate sweet malt backbone. Lots of bitter hops in the flavor alogn with more citrus and especially grapefruit and some pine needle - and sap- sticky tacky and bitter finish with more cattiness. Nice DIPA. maugus4ever (36), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Jul 26, 2008 Pours a fairly dark amber with a small off-white head and very light lacing. Citrus hop aroma. Great balance of malts and hops makes this a very drinkable double IPA, but I was expecting a hoppier beer. Definitely a brew worth trying.
