COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Foothills’ first high gravity beer may have you Seeing Double. The hops are balanced with just enough body to craft a highly drinkable brew. Expect a full body and a hint of citrus from the seven varieties of hops added to the brew. IBU: 126.

22oz bottle, unknown date. Served at around 45F.

Pours copper/amber with a one finger off-white head that leaves nice drippy lacing and recedes to a small cap.

Aroma is earthy and floral hops with some citrus, apricot and pine, also good amount of caramel malt. Good to very good strength.

Flavor is resinous hops, some orange citrus, pine, floral hops, big caramel malt, mild to moderate balancing sweetness, very good bitterness on the finish, decent bit of alcohol.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, chewy, sticky, good carbonation.

Very hoppy and great bitterness...more caramel malt than I care for though, but still a good Double IPA.

pours a murky gold/orange with a thin off white head...lots of sediment. aroma has some tropical fruits, tea, and buttery notes. flavor follows suit...lots of tea and butterscotch drowning out otherwise nice ctone and tropical fruits. mouthfeel is medium and syrupy with a fruity/tea finish.

Tap. A very hoppy offering. very bitter, citrus, nice offering that it isn’t advised to overdo it on.

Bomber shared. Poured orangish color with white head that’s lasted for a bit. Nice hop aroma up front. Started with a grassy note then it shifted to citrus. The flavor is continually changing as it gets warmer. Started with a hint of pine then a mouthful of lemon grass and at one point the end was almost a creamy texture. Complex in its own right but not totally sold on this beer.

Gorgeous pour. Sort of hazy, could be condensation on frosted glass (boo). Orange/yellow color. Hops are bright and forward. Slightly thin taste though, again I attribute this to a sports bar not knowing what is up. I do want to thank them for offering good beers... Buffalo wings and rings in Greensboro - near the Target off New Garden. Pretty solid picks.

Draft at Crios, 3/27/2013. Pours a cloudy orange.Aroma of pine hop, light citrus. Taste similar to nose. Enjoyed more than the Foothills Jade (single) IPA.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours cloudy amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy hops, caramel malts, and some light fruits. Flavor the same, with a pretty good blend of hops and malts. Smooth to thicker texture. A pretty good double IPA.

Pours a hazy golden color with a off white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Taste is hoppy but with a good amount of sweetness that balances well with the bitterness and the higher alcohol content. A nice well balanced DIPA from one of my favorite breweries in NC.
