UPDATED: FEB 21, 2016 It pours black with a dark brown head that has some lacing. It has strong chocolate aromas with coffee, roasted malts, and hints of hops. There are strong flavors of chocolate, roasted flavors, floral hops, and coffee. It has a heavy texture to it and has a strong aftertaste.

Chocolate notes abound in this smooth drinking imperial stout. Fortunate to find this local with growler filling. Looking forward to trying some aged versions.

Draft. Pours dark brown thin tan lacing. Aroma of chocolate and roastiness. Taste is sweet. Creamy smooth texture, mild bitterness and warming sensation.

Taps rich, warm sable with a thick tan head. Aroma presents rich roast malt, chocolate (loads of chocolate!) quality coffee and molasses tones plus fruity and toffee hints. Flavor is sinfully delightful - rich chocolate, roast malt, molasses, top-grade coffee, hints of toffee and fruit, both pomme and dark. Mouthfeel features viscous body and strong, persistent fizz. I’ve been chasing this for years, and at long last I have been deflowered!

(Sight - 4.25) Smelled rich, dark chocolate, dark cocoa, dark toffee, light coffee, faint molasses, chocolate syrup, rich caramel and light licorice. Awesome on the nose. (Smell - 4.75) Tasted dark chocolate milk, smokiness, dark cocoa nibs, rich, dark toffee, dark caramel, roasty malts, chocolate syrup and some booziness. (Taste - 4.25) Full body. Creamy-to-sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.25) This was just a really good beer. Would love to try this again, as well as the BBA version. Bottle from trade. Pour black with small head. Sweet chocolate taste but it could be stronger, probably because the bottle is a bit old.

Poured from a bottle it is a dark brown with a slight head. The aroma is milk chocolate. And the taste is a sweet chocolate malty taste that lingers on the palate
