On tap at Mellow Mushroom. Looks gorgeous, black with a 1/2" head. Nice aroma of chocolate malt, hops and toffee. Taste is similar, with big chocolate, nice smooth malt, significant hop taste. Palate is very nice, a bit sweet, but has a lot of hops to balance it out. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle it is a dark brown with a slight head. The aroma is milk chocolate. And the taste is a sweet chocolate malty taste that lingers on the palate

February 2013 edition. Pours nearly black, small grey head. Smell is roasted malts, no unusual hints of chocolate so far. Taste is somewhat to the bitter side. Some chocolate is you drink persistently. Full body- but nothing extreme- and an average carbonation. Ok beer in total, but I am not uncommonly enthousiastic about this one

Sample at Bad Parenting Club (plus a few dirty aunt/uncles?!): NC Beer Edition on 03/28/2015. Pours a dark brown color with a medium thick foamy khaki head that diminishes gradually. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, cocoa, coffee and mild hops. The finish is rich and slightly boozy with a mocha aftertaste. Good beer all around that I am shocked it has taken me this long to try.

Bomber: Vintage 2011: Shared with Iluvatarmilan: Served in tasters: Black beer with a brown head. Aromas of smoke, peat, chocolate, some fruits... Flavours of roast, bitters, dark chocolate, malt roast, some smokey tones, hops, liquorice, hop fruits, some ash, wood roast, some bay leaf. Aftertaste is bitter, bay leaf, chocolate, malt roast, cacoa and herbal roast. Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel, close to full bodied. Funny it changes with every new sip, but stays good! Great!

Draft at Cravings. Opaque black pour with thin tan head. Mostly sweet milk chocolate on the nose ... Layers of dark roast coffee and toffee on the palate. This is a solid RIS!
