A well-structured Czech style pilsner. TORCH is strong in alcohol with a rich, full finish. Good mouth feel and well-balanced Czech Saaz hops ensure that TORCH is not your typical pilsner. Color: 5 Lovibond;IBU:35

12 oz undated bottle served in a lager glass. This beer pours with a towering, sudsy, white head over a clear golden body with plenty of visible carbonation. The aroma is just as expected for this style, with a clear note of Saaz hops. Flavor: also a rather typical pilsner, with, perhaps. a touch more earthy hop flavor than the average Czech version. Nonetheless, this is only about average bitterness for a pils. Medium-high carbonation but less crisp than optimal. Recommended for pilsner fans.

Decent hops smell. The head is light and fluffy. It is clear light golden in color. It has a decent taste and is overall a decent pilsner.

Crisp grassy aroma with herbal hoppy notes. Golden with a fluffy white head. Balanced with a light refreshing bitter note. Crisp and dry with a clean finish.

12oz bottle. Poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was a touch of biscuit malt notes, earthy and floral hops. Flavor was malty, floral hops. Touch of bitterness and refreshing. Drinkable, but largely forgettable.

Great, damn clean all pilsner aroma. Admittedly, Saaz are mentioned on the label, but they’re clearly well used, even before you sip it. Just so clean. And all the same could be said of the flavor. More spice than expected, but enjoyably. Soft liquid gold appearance. Some residual hardness on the palate. Overall, a damn good pilsner.

12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s, Chapel Hill Ar: Light grassy hop aroma, a bit of light honey. Fairly muted. Ap: Pours a perfectly clear and sparkling straw gold with a 1/2" fizzy head that dissipates immediately. T: Hits on all the right notes. Light malty sweetness up front. Clean, refreshing finish with a nice bitterness, and notes of primarily grass. P: Medium-thin with assertive carbonation. O: Very well-made Pilsner from Foothills.

22 oz. bottle. Pale yellow color, with a medium, bubbly, off-white head. Lots of pine and resinous hops in the nose, with some grainy and musty notes and coriander. Very bitter for a pilsener, with some coarse, herbal sweetness. Medium body, very astringent, and crisp. Long, bitter aftertaste. Overall, this is too strong and too hop forward for a good pils. This would be okay, but the aroma is brash and the aftertaste is unpleasant.

A pleasant enough looking beer. Average head, bright yellow body. The aroma has that cooked cabbage quality that I associate with certain hops, and someday I hope to be able to identify the hops in question by name. Very slight, malty taste up front with a little hop in the finish. Overall, I think "slight" is exactly the word for this beverage.

Bottle from CBX. Super bright golden pour with a frothy white head. Aroma was bready, slightly spicy noble hop character. Nice. Flavors were so fresh and clean, spicy, noble hops, bready malt. Perfect, smooth bitter finish. Slightly sweet. Plus carbonation, light yet slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Great pils.

Aromas of bread and grassy, noble hops. Clear gold with a mostly fading, white head. Dry, bready, and with well-balanced bitterness. Light bodied with lively carbonation, and a clean, bready finish.
