A well-structured Czech style pilsner. TORCH is strong in alcohol with a rich, full finish. Good mouth feel and well-balanced Czech Saaz hops ensure that TORCH is not your typical pilsner. Color: 5 Lovibond;IBU:35

Bottle. Clear. Light honey color. Floral Saaz hops aroma with hints of hay, dough, and vanilla. Taste is hoppy for a pilsner but not overly so. A little spicy, peppermint perhaps, medium bitter finish. Well balanced and drinkable.

Medium golden pour, with a white head and nice lacing. Aroma is grains, and some light nuttiness. Flavor is crisp like light bread, with nuttiness in the back end. Crisp. Easy drinker.

Bottle into Pilsner glass. Good looking pils w solid white head and straw body. Mild malt aroma. Taste more full bodied and flavored than average pils - pronounced malt, grass, mild citrus. Mild bitterness throughout. Decent beer but stretches the definition of traditional pils. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (Mellow Mushroom, Charleston SC, May 2015). Head is mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), moderately hoppy (honeysuckle flowers, herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Had bottles and draft samples of this in Raleigh NC the week before the Savannah/Charleston week of the trip, and this beer was just as impressive there too. Clean, great malty-hoppy balance, and pretty true to style as well. Great quaffer and enticing to sniff too. Could stand to be just a touch more bitter but I quibble about that for a number of Czech pils, and it’s hard to deny the lip-smacking malt character of this one. A solid pils that stood up to the test of repeated samples. Something I would buy in sixers at home if I could.

Pours a clear light yellow with a white head. Subtle aroma. Taste is light bready malt with a stiff bitterness of a classic pils. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I don’t usually expect much from a pilsner, but with a viking on the front I had to try it and I was pleasantly surprised. It has a light/medium body, a thick white head that stuck and a mild bitterness that gave it some character. A nice summer beer that I would drink again.

Taste- A well blended malt and hop flavor, this is a very good tasting pilsner. Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a lively texture on the tongue. Overall- A really good beer that I highly recommend.

On tap at RFD (Washington DC). Limpid golden body with average carbonation and a thin, white creamy head. Decent, well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with herbal hints. Its crisp, hoppy taste carries malty, herbal, and grainy notes. Ends with a good bitter/herbal finish. Not bad at all.

A pretty typical pils. Light with a straw color and a light grassy aroma. Surprisingly thick mouthfeel and a dense biscuity malt base.
