Bottle. Clear. Light honey color. Floral Saaz hops aroma with hints of hay, dough, and vanilla. Taste is hoppy for a pilsner but not overly so. A little spicy, peppermint perhaps, medium bitter finish. Well balanced and drinkable.

Transfer from BA review on 3-3-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is poured a lighter golden color with a one finger white colored head. The head fades very fast to leave a light level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is mainly of lightly toasted grain with light notes of caramel and a citrus and grassy hop smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a grainy and bready taste that is a little on the drier side. As the taste advances light hop flavors initially of a citrus flavor and then more of a grassy flavor come to the tongue. These hop flavors take the taste to its end, with the grassy increasing in potency as time goes on (but never becoming too strong), with all the flavors combining to in the end leave a grassy and bready flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is very
average. The thinner body is rather nice for the grainier and lighter flavors of the brew and when combined with the moderate carbonation make for a quite easy drinking brew.
Overall – . It is refreshing and relatively crisp with a decent herbal hop profile. A decent and pretty easy drinking pilsner.

On draft. Citrus aroma. Notes of lemon. Tart finish. Not as hoppy as the big boys in the space -- Pivo & Prima Pils(es) -- but summery and pretty super.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Standard glass
From: Trader Joe’s in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C.
Price: $1.67 (I think)
Purchased: July 26, 2014
Consumed: July 26, 2014
Misc.: Appeared to be born on May 30, 2014, but it was tough to read
Poured a golden, pale clear color with1-to-2 fingers of rocky white head, which settled rather quickly. Decent stream of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Minimal foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Below average retention on the top and on the way down.
Smelled sharp Czech pilsner notes, corn, honey, caramel, grass, wheat, peas, green beans and slight butterscotch.
Tasted not quite as what I was expecting and as the smell. Got corn, honey, caramel, grass, wheat, faint butterscotch, buttery malts and maybe some rye.
Light body. Thin texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Abrupt, earthy finish.
Just an average pilsner.

Torch Pilsner is a clear golden yellow brew with small white bubbles. Nose is crisp if slightly grainy scent with some decent roasted malt as well. Taste is crisp but there is a nice tart balance of malt and hops as well. finish is clean and crisp. a very nice pils.

Pretty down the middle Pilsener. It had a very American craft feel to it as it was a little heavier than a German and American swill.

This is a good American pilsner, not an easy thing to find. The aroma is a little faint but the appearance of the beer is beautiful. The taste is light. The balance of this beer is excellent and the finish is delightful. I am reasonably impressed with this beer.
