12 oz. bottle from Trader Joeís, Chapel Hill Ar: Light grassy hop aroma, a bit of light honey. Fairly muted. Ap: Pours a perfectly clear and sparkling straw gold with a 1/2" fizzy head that dissipates immediately. T: Hits on all the right notes. Light malty sweetness up front. Clean, refreshing finish with a nice bitterness, and notes of primarily grass. P: Medium-thin with assertive carbonation. O: Very well-made Pilsner from Foothills.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body under a one finger foamy white head that left a bit of lace. The nose is nice delicate Saaz hops over a clean bready pils malt base. The flavor has a nice crisp and clean Saaz hoppiness with a gentle bitterness. Very clean bready malt base thatís nicely dry. Light bodied with soft gentle carbonation and a lingering gentle hoppy finish. Pretty excellent Pilsner, canít ask for much more than this, better than I was expecting.

Bottle into Pilsner glass. Good looking pils w solid white head and straw body. Mild malt aroma. Taste more full bodied and flavored than average pils - pronounced malt, grass, mild citrus. Mild bitterness throughout. Decent beer but stretches the definition of traditional pils. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (Mellow Mushroom, Charleston SC, May 2015). Head is mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), moderately hoppy (honeysuckle flowers, herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Had bottles and draft samples of this in Raleigh NC the week before the Savannah/Charleston week of the trip, and this beer was just as impressive there too. Clean, great malty-hoppy balance, and pretty true to style as well. Great quaffer and enticing to sniff too. Could stand to be just a touch more bitter but I quibble about that for a number of Czech pils, and itís hard to deny the lip-smacking malt character of this one. A solid pils that stood up to the test of repeated samples. Something I would buy in sixers at home if I could.

I donít usually expect much from a pilsner, but with a viking on the front I had to try it and I was pleasantly surprised. It has a light/medium body, a thick white head that stuck and a mild bitterness that gave it some character. A nice summer beer that I would drink again.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a nice malt and hop aroma Appearance- pours a slightly murky light yellow color with a medium sized white head. Taste- A well blended malt and hop flavor, this is a very good tasting pilsner. Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a lively texture on the tongue. Overall- A really good beer that I highly recommend.
