COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark, full-bodied beer. Strong in nature, dry in character. Topped with a traditional rich, creamy head, our Oyster Stout is top-fermented, making it an ale. It has a roasted malt aroma and achieves its black color and roasted flavor from roasted barley. Oyster stouts were produced by a few breweries in Great Britain for their local oyster festivals, and was higher in alcohol than the "everyday drinking" stout they normally produced. No oysters were harmed in the making of this stout.

I had this a while back on tap but i wanted to comment on having good stout with not much of a sweet flavor, this beer is full of coffee and chocolate flavors. good but not great, a little balance is needed.

Being a Delaware boy, I really WANTED to like this...but alas. Curiously devoid of taste. No sweetness in this at all...really rather bitter. Hardly any even roasted malty taste. It looked pretty, but I prefer to drink my beer rather than just gaze at it longingly

Draft. Opaque black with small brown head. Mostly roasted malt on the nose, with some metallic and peppery hops. Roasted malt, smoked chocolate and tingly hops at the end. Medium palate is pretty drinkable.

Draft, Ram’s Head Rehoboth. Pours a dark black center with wide brown edges; light tan head with minimal retention. Coffee and roasted malts in the aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: well-roasted coffee and malts with a creamy vanilla character; nicely balanced, with a hint of bitterness poking through; tasty and drinkable. Lengthy, dry coffee and vanilla finish.

Tap at Newtown Brewfest 06. Pours a moslty dark black but has some slight ruby hints at the edges and a nice frothy light tan head. Aroma is slightly salty, roast barley, light coffee, and some chocolate malt, but all are pretty subdued even as it warmed a bit. Light rooast flavor with some caramel sweetness and a dry nutty chocolate flavor in the finish. Pretty smooth overall but the body is a bit on the light side. Pretty good.

Had this on tap at the Carpenter Street Saloon in St. Michael’s MD. Opaque black "wood stain" pour under a very thin light tan head that hung around just long enough for the first sip. Coffee, semi-sweet chocolate and roasted malt in the aromas. Flavor was dominated by the coffee and more of a milk chocolate with a very faint hoppy kick at the back. Mouthfeel was thin and the finish was too short. Not a bad stout and quite drinkable but certainly not memorable.
