On tap in July! Lucked out and stopped in on the right day while passing through Annapolis. Was reddish brown in color with a small tan head. Aroma of malts and spices, as well as some caramel. Flavor was nice and spicey which masked the 8.6%. Also tasted malts and light sweetness. A very nice dopplebock, might have to make my way back in the winter to have another.

Hazy red with a fomay tan head. Lots of caramel on the nose, typical for the style. The flavor is also loads of caramel with lots of spicy candy flavors. Medium body. Ok but not great.

It was great having this beer on draft on the patio in July. Full-bodied malty beer. Sweet character and nice finish.

On draft at the Ram's Head's Christmas in July extravaganza. Wow, is this good. Nicely malty, with chocolate and caramel, but none of the stewed fruit that I hate in a doppelbock. Rich, but not overly so, reminiscent of DeGroen's, a bit richer than Troegs.

Nice, but maybe too strong doppelbock. Great use a the malt. Caramel and chocolate notes. Easy to drink one, harder to drink two.
