COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Copperhead Ale is a copper colored German-style Altbier, with a light, malty sweetness and a pronounced hop flavor. Alt is the German word for old, referring to the older style of ale brewing. Altbier is Germany’s pale ale. Copperhead Ale is top-fermented, making it an ale and it has a medium body. It has hints of maltiness and hoppiness in its aroma, with a definite hop flavor and a medium hop bitterness. Altbier is predominately brewed in the northern part of Germany, especially Dusseldorf and gets its "sweet roast" flavor and copper color from caramunich malts.

Soapy white head. Golden yellow color. Too carbonated. Smooth to drink, but weak in taste. Slight aftertaste of malts. Honestly, this beer bored me.

Smells skunky, like rubbish. Taste is unsophisticated, bitter, plain alcohol, malty. Looks are OK. Mediocre stuff. Tastes the same as several macrobrews.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2014 This was not good beer. My bottle may have been bad. The beer poured to a modest head. The aroma was skunky. My second glass at Buddy’s in Annapolis was much better. It had a nice clear copper color with a medium body. The hoppiness was just right. I rescored the ale . At a nationals game in Jul 2010 i had a draft. It was a much better experience. The color was a light amber with a modest head. The hop flavor and balanced bitterness was evident. I changed some of may scores.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2014 Re-rate. Still has nice malty aroma and good lookin copper color. Citrus hops and malt in flavor. Sour grape notes as well, which really brings this down. Earth and yeast in aftertaste. Drinkable, but could be (and was) better.

Red copper color, generous head, some lace. Aroma is sweet malt. Nutty toffee sweet taste with a moderately hoppy finish. Nothing but an easy to drink beer - great with pizza. (found at Circle Liqours, NJ)

A decent ale. Very light colored. Tried at the Wine Source in Baltimore. A good session beer.

Pours an reddish brown color....a little bit of carbonation, small white head with some lacing. Aroma is merely straw/grassy. Not a lot of taste though...just a little malty....not much else. Fordham is not a macro....expect a little better from a micro.

Malt throughout the beer from aroma to finish. Light and refreshing. I would buy a six pack.

Tap. Nice copper color with a very thin white head. A very light and clean taste. Malty with very little hop presence.
