COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Copperhead Ale is a copper colored German-style Altbier, with a light, malty sweetness and a pronounced hop flavor. Alt is the German word for old, referring to the older style of ale brewing. Altbier is Germanyís pale ale. Copperhead Ale is top-fermented, making it an ale and it has a medium body. It has hints of maltiness and hoppiness in its aroma, with a definite hop flavor and a medium hop bitterness. Altbier is predominately brewed in the northern part of Germany, especially Dusseldorf and gets its "sweet roast" flavor and copper color from caramunich malts.

12 oz bottle - not sure if I got a bad batch or what because my cap wasnít clamped on as tightly as it should have been. I was rather displeased with this beer (possibly worrying if it was bad or not). Tasted stale and/or old - Iím going to chalk it up to a bad bottling, though and give a higher score than I should.

12 oz Bottle-poured a clear copper color w/a slight off white head. Slight roasted malt aroma. Little bit of hops on the front w/ some malt bitters that follow. Standard Altbier/Amber. Itís a solid, easy drinking sesson beer. Nothing wrong with it-nothing spectacular. Nice fresh taste but itís kind of thin & short-Iíd like to try it on tap & see if there is a big difference-might be a lot better.

Slightly less than your Yuengling Lager. Perhaps it is since Iíve not experienced it enough. Oh well, no loss since it isnít as good. A nice tribute to Maryland, even though it is produced in Delaware. Worth a once over, especially if it is on tap.

It was tasty. Refreshing. Not quite as flavorful as their Pale Ale, which I consider to be leaps and bounds above Sierra Nevada. Itís just straight up easy drinking. Nice work.

Clear auburn pour with a small off-white head and no lacing. Weak aroma of hops, biscuits and malt. Not much more in the flavor - standard and bland with a mild hoppy kick, a touch of lemon, malt and some caramel. Thin mouthfeel and not much of a finish. Not a good representative of the class and really only a representative of mediocre beers.

This one looked nice with a decent head and a nice copper brown color. But, from the first to last sip, it was lacking flavor (watered down) and had a bitterness that wasnít pleasing. Actually tasted similar to a 2-3 yr old Bass from a bottle that I drank a year or so ago: not so good.

12oz. Bottle: Smells a little malty, but also crip like a Molson. Also smells a little funky. Brown color. Clear. Large, frothy, off-white head. Head lasted. Nice lacing. Flavor is malty with nut, smoke, and caramel notes. No hop flavor. Unbalanced. Sour and mineraly. Quite awful. Light bodied. Thin. Lasting sour mineral finish. Soft carbonation. Overall, either their quality has gone way down, or this is a bad bottle. Itís undrinkable.

Pours a nice clear amber color. Aromas of burnt malts, dark fruit, and some spice. Flavors of caramel, a touch a chocolate and nutmeg?.

(Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a small creamy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, cereal, and caramel. Flavor of caramel malt and mild hops.

It has an okay copper flavor with amber qualities but its nothing to call the cows about. I wouldnít mind trying this one on tap though. There is nothing offensive in this beer and too many micros tend to use that as their flag for quality.
