Quirkmeister (7), North Carolina, USA does not count Jan 24, 2008 Another beer to sample while in Annapolis. Pours well from bottle or tap. Can be found in several locations. hoplover406 (180), Crofton, Maryland, USA Apr 27, 2007 Updated: Mar 3, 2008This is the beer that turned me on to good craft beer. I know it’s a bit ironic considering that this is not much of a craft beer. Until I had a pint of this a few years back I used to think that Guinness was the best thing around. I haven’t been able to duplicate my experience with this or any other Fordham product, but it opened the door for me and for that I give it a lot of credit. It’s not as bad as the ratings may indicate here. I suggest you try it only if you happen to find yourself in the Rams Head Tavern though...not worth going out of your way for. Admiral (524), Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 5, 2003 Amber/copper, dense head. Nice buttery aroma. Very malty, toasty notes. Fairly dry. Not much hop, but that's not objectionable for an alt. adrian910ss (1032), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 31, 2008 Pours a beautiful clear light coppery color with a medium sized white head. Aroma of bitter hops with a hint of grapefruit. Taste is bitter with hops present and hints of faint citrus. RAYBOY01 (1630), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 21, 2005 Got this in my Beer of the Month Club shipment...and enjoyed it very much. I love the roasted malt color, aroma, and flavors. This is a good candidate for an everyday beer.
