2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from the bttle to a hazy rust color with thin off-white head that disappeared immediately and left no lacing. Initial aroma was somewhat impressive: honey, malted dark fruits and a hint of apples. Unfortunately, this quickly gave way to a mouthfeel that was thin and watery, and a semi-tart taste. Finish was watery and metallic, with an almost rusty aftertaste.
Not a real fan of this one.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
BOD 4/3/15. Pours a clear copper. Normal head volume, lacing and retention.
Very light nose of biscuit with a hint of caramel and toasted grain.
Light body with a texture slightly heavier than water. Superb carbonation with a nice effervescent middle and a finely bubbled prickly finish.
The flavor profile is rather weak. You get some toasted grain, very little biscuit and a mere hint of caramel. The middle has a mild bitterness. The finish is a slow bitter fade.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
4.7%ABV. Amber Ale.
This was my 2nd tap in a Rams Head Tavern and it was anything but sophomoric. It tapped out at a deep amber color 8-10ºSRM with a respectable head of foamy white bubbles.
Nose is full bodied and whispered well-roasted quality malts.
The palate had light carbonation giving it a light mouthfeel which was clean and light without being watery.
Aroma and flavor was just mainly about the full bodied toasted malt flavor hinting at dark toast and toasted vanilla granola oatmeal.
Nice finish of clean bitter hops.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not much going on the nose, some floral aroma. Taste is initially sweet, with some malt character in the background. Metallic and bitter aftertaste. Rather watery, not much to recommend going on here.
