COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Copperhead Ale is a copper colored German-style Altbier, with a light, malty sweetness and a pronounced hop flavor. Alt is the German word for old, referring to the older style of ale brewing. Altbier is Germany’s pale ale. Copperhead Ale is top-fermented, making it an ale and it has a medium body. It has hints of maltiness and hoppiness in its aroma, with a definite hop flavor and a medium hop bitterness. Altbier is predominately brewed in the northern part of Germany, especially Dusseldorf and gets its "sweet roast" flavor and copper color from caramunich malts.

Keg at White Horse, Parsons Green, London. An amber coloured pour with a medium off white head. Malty aroma. Tastes malty, hoppy, caramel. Rather thin and forgettable to be honest.

Very average. Just enough hops to make the taste satisfying but the flavor goes away fairly quickly. Quite malty, very balanced but otherwise uninteresting. Very sessionable. Good entry level beer.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with thin, fizzy off-white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is caramel and toasted malt, figs, dates, grassy hops, and some earthy notes. Flavor is malt dominate with some supporting fruit esters and hops; dry finish. Light/medium body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.

12 oz. bottle shared by Mike and Rachel- thanks again, guys! Pours a clear golden copper color with a small off-white head. Notes of toffee, caramel malts, subtle spices, and a hint of leafy hops. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty, toasty, leafy mouthfeel. Kind of bland.

lightly hazy amber with a small tan head... lightly grassy creamy malty aroma... flavor profile is very similar, kinda thin body, though it is under 5... decently drinkable malty amber ale...

355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. An amber ale. Indeed, it is what the Americans term an Amber Ale, though the brewers believes they have made an Altbier (nothing like!). American hops on a crystal and pale malt base. Very American. You couldn’t mistake it for a German beer, unless you were an American brewer it appears! It’s a drinkable beer, though it’s not my sort of thing.

Bottle at home from Kris Wines. Pours clear amber with off white bubbly head. Aroma is toffee, bit of subtle hoppiness, mainly malt. Taste is caramel malty, sweet, little bit of spice/pepper and a bitter hoppy finish. Perfectly nice, but maybe not so exciting.

Poured a clear honey/amber color with a large off-white head. Aroma is a bit skunky with vanilla and some caramel. Taste is a bit bland with some malty flavors and some grains. A touch of hops adds some balance. Overall it’s very unremarkable and I will most likely forget it, but it wasn’t bad tasting.

Copper color with foamy white head that dissapates rather quickly. Light body with slightly salty flavor. Overall OK.
