COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Fordham Lager is a golden Bavarian-style lager, with a firm malty body, a subtle hop character, and a slightly sweet finish. Helles is the German word for light or pale, referring to the color of the beer. This is the everyday drinking beer for Germans in Munich. Fordham Lager is bottom-fermented, making it a lager beer, and has a medium to light-body. It has a clean, malt accented aroma and a malty finish with little hop bitterness. Our Fordham Lager is a very balanced beer, meaning that it is not too sweet and not too bitter. It is brewed mostly with pale malted barley and small amounts of Vienna and Munich malts, which increases the body and maltiness in the beer.

Pours a deep golden color, slightly hazy, with a copious head. Aroma is sweet and malty, mildly fruity in that lagered sort of way. Flavor is wonderful. Malty, slightly bready, with a little appley fruitiness. Light hoppy tang at the end. Balance is good. Carbonation is medium, body is light/medium. A really well done helles lager.

A very nice summer beer. Pours a pale yellow with a thick white head. The aroma has some lime and sweet malt. The flavor has the lime and malt with just enough hops to balance. Drink this one ice cold.

Pours a lighter straw color with a very thin head. Clear in clarity. Carbonation is light. Aroma is toasted malts. Taste is bisuit and toasted malts, grassy hops and light spices. By spices I mean faint nuiances of lemon and corrinder. Maybe it leans tords the wit side. Medium feel in the mouth. Watery around the edges. Semi dry and a tad bitter. This would be an excellant chain restaurant beer.

A solid Helles. Nothing remarkable or stand out about it, but drinkable and enjoyable. Aroma and taste are slightly bitter with a nice bready feel. A nice dark wheat color, soft palate.

Draft. Bright golden color, white edge head. Aroma of dusty hay and white pepper. Taste is lager-like, not too remarkable.

Slightly hazy pale yellow colored, with small wispy head. Aroma is sweet and malty , with hints of hops, and well balanced. Thirst quenching but rather flat and boring. Slightly bitter dry finish. Light and easy to drink but not my style in general. Worth a try if you really need a fast light liquid alcoholic thirst quencher. Quaff Score 4 / 10

Pours gold with a white head and aroma of malts and hops. Taste is sweet, of sweet malts, hops, and grains with a slightly bitter finish. Very light, drinkable, refreshing brew, but nothing special

Keg at The Draft House, Tower Bridge, London. Gold with white head, carbonated. Quite a perfumed beer, flowery, some ginger and apple. A touch sweetish in the body, lemonade. Mixed.

Poured a pale yellow color with a medium-sized white head. Aroma has light corn and rice. A bit skunky with some grains as well. Taste is crisp and with some decent grain and malt flavors. More flavor than I was expecting. Finish is crisp with some hops and light fruit. Aftertaste is a little sweet. Overall not bad.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 01/20/2012. The beer is a clear pale golden color with a medium thin white head that recedes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of doughy malt and grassy hops. Light body with flavors of sweet malt, grain and more grassy hops. The finish is herbal and grassy with a mild hops aftertaste. Fairly average overall.
