It’s nice to see that Fordham is putting out seasonal bottled beers now. The Fest is said to be followed by something in the winter. Very malty! I think malt dogs will really like this brew, although it maybe a little too sticky for my palate. Smooth, drinkable, but not a whole lot sticks out.

Pretty mediocre and watery oktoberfest, not much German taste to it. Not very good.

Beer is mostly malt in taste and aroma. It works as a pub ale, but I wouldn’t rush to the store to get it. Rated 3/21/03

Draft pint at the Annapolis brewpub. Orange-amber ... I’m finding out that all their beers are the same. This one is vaguely caramel-malted with a subtle hop flower kiss at the end. OK. (#3196, 11/10/2007)

Nice deep amber coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, a bit of hops and some spicey essences. Medium-bodied; Sharp taste of malt coupled with nuts, and a bit of pit fruits lingering behind. Aftertaste shows some sweetness and spices, but mainly consists of malt and more nuts. Overall, a decent oktoberfest - okay for being local, but not great in the global scheme. I sampled this beer, purchased on draught at the Ram’s Head Live [Downtown] bar/nightspot in Baltimore, Maryland on 19-September-2007.

The aroma was malty with a light bit of spicy hop presence. The malt was Munich and Vienna most notably with a toasty and nutty character. The beer was clear in the styrafoam cup from earlier in the day. The head lasted well enough to coat the sides. The flavor was nutty and malty but had an odd bittering component that was not especially wonderful. The hops were lightly spicy and just a bit vegetal. The body was medium with a moderate level of carbonation. No real alcohol presence was notable. An ok O’fest and the best thing around, but not something to seek out. 12 ounce bottle. 6 pack purchased at some crappy liquor store in Glen Burnie, MD for $8.39.

It’s a beautiful beer with a nice flavor and aroma. It’s a tad sticky...but an overall success. GOtta love those German peacocks in the packaging. That girl one is kind of sexy.

Tap the Dominion Brewhouse. Transparent pour of a dusty orange hue. Aroma of vinegar, copper, and spiced tomato paste. Underneath is a thin foundation of bready cinnamon malt, weak and whimpering. Flavors of onion sweat, metal, banana, and clean, floral urinal cake. All this mars a fairly pleasant presence of honey-wheat crust at the core. Finishes with a sweet rush of cornmeal and dark honey. Light to medium-bodied palate with plenty of sugary grit. All the extraneous strangeness eventually wins out, unfortunately. Not really terrible, though.

Sampled with Stegosaurus and Beerded_one at Newtown Beerfest. Thin for and dissapointing octoberfest. If you are looking for a good octfest try Paulaner or Sam Adams.

On draft at the Newtown Brewfest with Beerded_one and the Mad Indian. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts and citrus. The flavor is grainy, sweet upfromnt, and caramel. Thin body, decent brew.
