Tenth rating, yesss! Draft. Cloudy yellow color, small white edge head. Aroma of orange, peppermint candy. Taste is fruity bitterness. Nice.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours deep copper toward overripe pumpkin orange with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is piney hops, spare caramel malt, tangerine, mango, black pepper. Tastes bitter, heavy on the IBUs, with pineapple, tangerine, not very much sweetness, some caramel malt, and a piney resiny finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Drake (6594) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - JAN 31, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of resin, herbal, floral hops with a bit of citrus, pale malts. The taste is herbal, resin, citrus hops, pale malt background. Medium bodied, decent balance, solid lingering bitterness. Nice IPA.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (4035) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was faint orange, pine and a bit of bread. The flavor was bitter and dryish with notes of orange, lemon, pine and grapefruit. Long finish of orange and pine. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

Draft. Poured a pretty medium-cloudy copper color with a white fluffy head. Aroma was pine, floral notes and a touch of orange citrus character. Flavor was crisp, enjoyable pine character with a crisp biscuit malt character. Hops were enjoyable in this one.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ben4321 (3031) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 11, 2013
Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 2/11/13
Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, with some floral, resin, and citrus style hops to it
Appearance: Pours a hazed orange color with a small, lasting, sheet of white head and lots of lace
Flavor: Taste-wise, this one has some mild sweetness, but is mostly hop bitterness here
Palate: The body is medium, it has average carbonation, and a lengthy, dry finish on the mouth
Overall Impression:
Good stuff. There’s a nice hop presence, but there isn’t a really dominant hop component. This one is pretty much just a straight-up solid IPA, and so there isn’t a ton more explanation needed here.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mansquito (2569) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Pier 6 Pavilion, Baltimore: Pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma is citrus hops and some malt backbone. Taste is pretty standard IPA. Moderately bitter, but the hops lack that much character. Mild aftertaste. Ain’t nothing that blows you away. Still, it is wonderful that they now have IPAs on tap at music events, even if they are made by pseudo craft breweries.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Elwood (2552) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy orange color with a small off white head. The nose has light citrus, grain, and herbal notes. The flavor has a touch of fruitiness with pretty even play between the malt and hops. The citrus notes seem bright and work well with the slight caramel notes. Medium bodied with a medium finish. A surprisingly tasty offering from a brewery I’m not normally impressed by.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 keepersj12 (2275) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - APR 5, 2013
This may be skewed because I had this following a Troegs Nygget Nector. Both on tap at Two Stones in Wilmington De. Bland aroma with a bit of malt and a little citrus. The flavor is balnd with a bit of malt up front and some bitter hops at the end. Kind of thin.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sloth (2251) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Medium sized, tight beaded head with fair retention and some lasting and sticky lace. Hazy, light gold appearence. Slight, fruity nose, lil melon and some citrusy hops, grain. Body is lightly medium with a soft carbonation. Fairly dry malts are a hint toasty and the hopping is genteel with some fruity notes, citrus rind and leafy notes as well. Dry, fruity finish with a solid bite. Better than expected.Bottle from statelineliquors.
