Overheard the salesperson at total wine say this was his favorite IPA do decided to give it a try. Interesting aroma - funky smells, tangy smells, earthy smells. Good clearish color, average head and light lacing. Taste is very solid - grapefruit hops and a nice level of bitterness. Balanced out with caramel malt. Glad I bought a six pack. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours deep copper toward overripe pumpkin orange with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is piney hops, spare caramel malt, tangerine, mango, black pepper. Tastes bitter, heavy on the IBUs, with pineapple, tangerine, not very much sweetness, some caramel malt, and a piney resiny finish.

Semi-bitter, but with a funky taste. Intriguing, not horrible, but better than most beer available at the Verizon Center.

12 Oz. Bottle. Nice copper color, cloudy with a decent white head. In my opinion the aroma is great, strong pine, floral and citrus. Taste fruity, some malts with bitter/dry hoppiness that stays all the way to the finish. I liked this one quite a lot.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 2/11/13

Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, with some floral, resin, and citrus style hops to it
Appearance: Pours a hazed orange color with a small, lasting, sheet of white head and lots of lace
Flavor: Taste-wise, this one has some mild sweetness, but is mostly hop bitterness here
Palate: The body is medium, it has average carbonation, and a lengthy, dry finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: Good stuff. There’s a nice hop presence, but there isn’t a really dominant hop component. This one is pretty much just a straight-up solid IPA, and so there isn’t a ton more explanation needed here.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of resin, herbal, floral hops with a bit of citrus, pale malts. The taste is herbal, resin, citrus hops, pale malt background. Medium bodied, decent balance, solid lingering bitterness. Nice IPA.

Draft. Poured a pretty medium-cloudy copper color with a white fluffy head. Aroma was pine, floral notes and a touch of orange citrus character. Flavor was crisp, enjoyable pine character with a crisp biscuit malt character. Hops were enjoyable in this one.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy orange color with a small off white head. The nose has light citrus, grain, and herbal notes. The flavor has a touch of fruitiness with pretty even play between the malt and hops. The citrus notes seem bright and work well with the slight caramel notes. Medium bodied with a medium finish. A surprisingly tasty offering from a brewery I’m not normally impressed by.
