COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tavern Ale is top-fermented, making it an ale. It is a medium to full-bodied beer with a hoppy aroma. Tavern Ale is served unfiltered resulting in a hazy or cloudy appearance. It has a full malt finish with a well rounded bitterness. Tavern Ale is an American Pale Ale because of the large amounts of American hops which lends a distinct, almost citrusy flavor to the beer. Therefore, our Tavern Ales is quite different from the "spicy" or "herby" flavor of European hops.

The cloudy cream orange-brown appearance told me this was not a typical APA. The head was firm, and the aroma subdued but slightly hoppy. The mouthfeel was exceptionally smooth, especially for an APA. Slightly sweet, but most definately malty, it balances well with the hops. Excellent!

Nice amber hued body, small creamy head. Hoppy floral aroma, taste is citrusy and sweet. Palate is smooth, with a dry finish. Good.

Pleasant aroma, fine tasting. Little head & lacing - my favorite beer from the brewery. Hoppy, some bitterness, I'd gladly have another.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2007 Deep amber appearance. Aroma was a mix of hops, malts and citrus. Well balanced taste with a nice hoppy kick. Bitter, but not biting, finish. A good everyday beer.

By far the best beer in the sampler from this place, copper color, thin white bubbly head, decent malt profile, a good amount of hops in the nose, flavors & aftertaste, but a pretty average APA though

Sparkling light golden color. Fruity and slightly hoppy nose. Body is very hoppy with citrus notes. Not bad, probably one of the better offerings from this less than stellar brewery.

Very fruity, lots of grapefuit hops. Nice and creamy, though it was served a bit too cold for the style. Lots o’ hops, with plenty of malts for balance.

Served on the nitrogen tap, it is delicious. Fruity, in the West Coast style. The lower carbonation and hopping rates encourages all-day consumption, which is rather recherche.

Coppery body, good citrusy pine aroma. Good bite on flavor, slightly chewy with clean bitter aftertaste. Good stuff for hopheads, but not so overwhelming as to scare away others.
