COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tavern Ale is top-fermented, making it an ale. It is a medium to full-bodied beer with a hoppy aroma. Tavern Ale is served unfiltered resulting in a hazy or cloudy appearance. It has a full malt finish with a well rounded bitterness. Tavern Ale is an American Pale Ale because of the large amounts of American hops which lends a distinct, almost citrusy flavor to the beer. Therefore, our Tavern Ales is quite different from the "spicy" or "herby" flavor of European hops.

9/22/11. 12oz bottle courtesy Cavie. Slightly hazy orange pour with a small khaki head that fades but laces decently. Slightly subdued hop aroma that’s earthy and has a bit of citrus. Slightly hoppy flavor - more earthy and dank than bright and citrusy - with a surprisingly bitter kick. Not bad, really.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A see-through, golden amber beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma has a foundation of caramel or crystal malts, with a pleasant hoppyness doing most of the work. Quite bitter flavor, with caramel maltyness in the back. Lasting bitter finish. Medium body, quite dry. A quite pleasant and easy drinkable beer. 110819
