Commercial Description:
Tavern Ale is top-fermented, making it an ale. It is a medium to full-bodied beer with a hoppy aroma. Tavern Ale is served unfiltered resulting in a hazy or cloudy appearance. It has a full malt finish with a well rounded bitterness. Tavern Ale is an American Pale Ale because of the large amounts of American hops which lends a distinct, almost citrusy flavor to the beer. Therefore, our Tavern Ales is quite different from the "spicy" or "herby" flavor of European hops.

Nice golden copper color with a fluffy head that fades quickly and leaves no lacing. Quite a bit of bitterness balanced with some caramel maltiness that finishes dry.

On tap at BWI airport. Reddish pour with a nice head. Woodsy malt flavor with some cascade citrus hop notes. A bit astringent as I remember but it went down smooth enough. Average.

Bottle. Maroon color, small beige head. Nose brings out nice citrusy Cascade hops notes with lots of malt. The flavor’s more on the malty side, but certainly not overpowering. A nice, decently balanced pale ale. Good session beer with plenty of flavor.

This American Pale Ale pours an orange copper color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malt and citrus and piney hops. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are piney and grapefruity. Nicely balanced, slightly hop forward APA. It is almost IPA like in its hopiness. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter.
