Keg in Otto W2. Yellowy colour, looked surprisingly flat. Quite intense, slightly artificial, sweet flavour, bubble gum and pear drops. Hard work. Not to my liking.

355ml bottle @ Annie’s Burger Shack, Nottingham. Pours hazy gold with white head. Fair whiff of gooey banana and sherbet. Decent enough wheat taste, minimal spice. Easy-drinking, moderately sweet with the slightest touch of yeast.

A hazy, golden-orange coloured beer with a frothy white head. All the elements of a wheat beer in the aroma, tropical fruits and spices. Medium-dry mouthfeel. The taste follows on from the aroma, all the expected flavours of slightly sour tropical fruits and some dry spice flavours, but all a tad milder than most, more potent wheat beers. The finish is zesty and full flavoured. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg from Jake’s Place. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Average carbonation. Light lacing. Mild aroma of caramel and chalky wheat. The flavour is chalk, wood, pale malt, candy floss, banana and cloves. Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation. A good attempt but a long way off the best German Hefeweizens.

Ehh, slightly watery & too light for my tastes. Just kind of blah. Nothing to write home about.

Keg at Jake’s Place, Edinburgh, Scotland. Fantastic beer, grainy aroma, sweet bready bannana taste, really light malt finish. Feels quite creamy and layered on the tongue. Lovely.

On tap at Adega Wine Cellars & Cafe in Silver Spring, MD. Densely hazy, dark orange copper with a small off-white head and fair lacing. Aroma of caramel, grapes, light fruit and sherry. Taste of grapes, caramel, light sour cherry, oak and freshly cut grass. Medium/light body and high/medium carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Moderately sweet wheaty aroma, bubblegum, a floral touch, a spicy touch of mustard. Taste is moderately sweet wheat malty, bubblegum, a floral touch, fruity notes of citrus and gooseberry. Slightly artificial and simply not my taste.
