A rustic, dry apple cider. Apples from Solebury Orchard in Bucks Country, wine yeast from Karamoor Vineyard down the road. As local and gluten free as we can do it.

At Forest & Main last weekend. Light, fairly-clear body. Nose is moderately tart apples. Flavor is light and crisp, leading to a fairly-dry finish. Very drinkable.

Tap flight at the brewpub. Lighter than regular apple juice in the glass. Highly carbonated but no head. Smells just like Tree Top apple juice. Taste is on the sweeter side of ciders. It’s dry at first, not cloying, but sweet. Finishes with a nice fresh apple finish. I think this is a great option for people who don’t like really dry ciders but want to experience one that is well made in the middle of the dry-sweet continuum.

nearly still murky gold. Apple-sweet nose reminds of paint, paper. Flavor is peach and apple, strong skin, acetic and quite tart. Lightly hot and thin through the finish, barky and bitter.

Tap at forest and main. Hazy peach pour. Weaker head. Nose is spicy tangerine, bitter blood orange, fresh esters, chunky apple sauce. Taste is lactic, loads of drying apple and pear skin, spicy, acidic. Really enjoyed this one.

Draft @ brewery. Clear gold pour. Apple nose. Taste is juicy not cidery. Refreshing but comes up short

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 Clear, dark golden color with no head or lacing. Aroma of sweet, apples, but some acetone, and alcohol as well. Taste of really sweet apples, some tartness in the finish, but really just too strong and cloying for me. Would like this much drier, maybe even put it in a fresh oak barrel for a little while.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2013 Crystal clear golden orange body, thin head, a few traces of lacing. Nose is intense cider apples, a light sweetness, effervescent. Flavor is similar... I found this to tilt toward a classic English style cider. Medium to light bodied, semi-dry, clean refreshing finish. Personally I prefer super-dry and musty french style ciders but this is delicious.
