Growler from F&M. Pours dark, dark brown/black with thinner tan head. Dark chocolate/cocoa, fruit, some sweetness in the nose. Nose transfers to tongue, cocoa, some fruit notes but with a roasty burnt dryness one might expect from a stout. Roast clings to the to tongue so you don’t forget you have a dark brew. Malt plays in the background adding some fullness but not much... A bit more to help balance the bitter bite could help but this has decent flavor overall.

Draft at brewery.pours a black with mocha head. Fruity taste with no roast. Clean finish makes it easy to have another.

Dark brown-black body, moderate sized medium brown head, spotty lacing. Dry roasted malts, soft coffee, dark chocolate, some dark fruits in the background, a bit of yeast spice. Flavor is similar, essentially a dry stout with accents contributed from the belgian yeast. Medium to full bodied, creamy carbonation, dry roasty finish, well-hidden abv.
