DocLock (6826) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2012

Draft from brewpub. Poured deep blackish with minimal tan head. Nose was roasty black patent malt, oats, cacao. Tasted rich, complex, with an initial roasty dark malt flavor, then a nice balanced cacao, mild nuts, and an overall smooth, lactic, oaty finish. This one is great.

Draft at brewery. Black pour with a slight mocha head. No real nose. Taste has a lot of roast, but is thin. Reminds me of licorice.

Draft at forest and main with Dallas. Pours a deep brow ish black body with nice off white lacing. mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of roast, toasted malt and light licorice.
