4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
shimmering gold with lasting puffy white head. Incredibly dusty nose, tons of pear and apple with considerable brett a la cantillon, more juicy than boulevard saison brett. Front palate shows more sugar, light white grape a la peconic but way more pear and lemon citrus balance, mid palate showing dusty dough and lemon-lime citrus before the drying finish is minerals and faintly brett. High carbonation keeps it light, almost draws sweetness out too singularly.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2014 Draft: Hazy golden-straw colored body. Moderate frothy white head. Traces of lacing. Floral notes dominate the initial aroma. As the beer warmed, honey and the Belgian yeast character started to come out. Floral, herbal, and oak notes are present on the palate. Just a hint of farmhouse funk. Yeast character compliments the honey flavor addition. Medium bodied. Assertive carbonation. Clean, dry finish. A tasty saison that is a real treat at the low ABV.
Bottle version. Ramps up the funk with a nice musty and citric profile. The extra time did wonders. (Score reflects bottled version)
