3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle split with callmemickey, yourefragile, raveskdr, and Amyliz4 yesterday at Forest & Main on the day of the release. Served in a goblet.
Pours a fairly-hazy yellow straw color. Nice fluffy white head as it is poured. Good retention and nice lacing along the sides of the glass as it goes down. Thin cap throughout.
The nose carries a lot of bread and quick-rising yeast. Murky appearance along with this seems like it needs a bit more time in the bottle to develop. Underneath these notes are some notes from the underlying Solaire base, with light lemon and a bit of peppery yeast and spice.
Flavor is similar, but a bit less yeast. Some underlying earthiness and Brett funk. Touch of citrus and a light graininess. Still a bit of bread and bread yeast.
Body is medium with good carbonation. A bit thick right now. Again, probably the yeast not being quite ready.
Overall, I could see this ending up nice, but I think it needs some additional time in the bottle to settle. Probably won’t be all that long before bread yeast character falls through, and then I could see the Brett taking this one in a nice direction.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro. pours hazy pale yellow with a creamy white head offering good retention and lacing. very yeasty - dupont-like estery components, wheat, acidulated malt, coriander, lemons, hint of honey, touch of pineapple, pepper. bright carbonation, light body - oily, lightly astringent and gently bitter non-bland herbal-grassy finish. shy if not absent brettiness. still a well executed rustic saison.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by tom10101, thanks! Pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of fruits and pepper, pretty much your textbook saison. Taste is a departure with a strange sweetness, candi sugar-like , and fruits. It felt underattenuated and I must say that I didn’t pickup any brett aromatics... Conditioning issues? Body is medium and so was carbonation. Overall it isn’t a complete disaster but not even close to what it is pretending to be. Just OK.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (750 ml). Split 6-ways with the Québec crew. From John, thanks!
Appearance: Clear yellow/golden with a small white head.
Aroma: Brettanomyces are subtle to say the least. Cereals, light sweetness and light fruitiness. Similar to the "Dupont" yeast.
Taste: Much better than the aroma even though the same components are there... cereals, moderate fruitiness and light sweetness. There’s also light peppery notes and a touch of acidity.
Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Mild lingering grains + light sweetness finish.
Overall: The aroma isn’t quite impressive, but the overall beer is a more than decent Saison, just not the same awesomeness level as most of their beers we tried so far. Even though it’s only 5 % abv, it feels a bit more and the drinkability is average.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer is what we in the ticking game call "charming". Pours a hazy apricot pour with fluffy head. aroma is lightly earthy, floral, peppery, and dusty. Taste is subtle bone dry dusty pepper with a bright citrus finish. Malts are light dry crackers. Very mild tartness on the back end that keeps the tannic elements from getting too overpowering. LOVE IT.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle... Cloudy straw-colored pour with no head. The aroma is fruity and floral; almost perfume-like. Medium-bodied and astringent with moderate carbonation. There is heavy, tannic bitterness and some breadiness in both the flavor and the lengthy, raspy, Sahara-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of 50belair!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a light golden color with two fingers of fizzy white foam. Lots of bright lemon and grain on the nose with some barnyard complexity poking out from behind. Palate follows but is a bit to light and heavily carbonated for any flavors to really pop as much as i was hoping. The brett is subtle and the underlying grain bill is foggy and very light handed. Selzter with lemon and a sprig of horsehair. Easy drinking just not as complex as I was expecting.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Extremely effervescent gold, huge ultra small-bubbled dense white head. Mineral heavy nose, wet concrete and gravel with lightly dusty nose, faintly buttery with light grain and bright citrus. Late pours show no butter. More butter in the flavor at front alongside dusty grain and citrus, high peppery ester influence, low acidity and incredibly dry across the earthy, lightly citric dough finish, medicinal heat with warmth. Ultra zesty carbonation, fine small bubbles accenting the nuance. Relaxed beer, tons of dryness and integration, a few off notes but very well executed, even Helios/Dupont -esque at times.
