transparent gold, puffy white head, light lacing. Soapy nose is sage and honey, white pepper and orange peel dominates with warmth. Flavor is sage, white pepper, and orange up front, lightly sweet throughout with zesty carbonation. Bit of root and anise late.

Tap at forest and main. Sparkling clear golden pour. Medium to weak foam. Nose is soft and juicy fruits, marshmallow, juicy fruit gum, fresh esters. Taste is minty, minerally, tart starfruit. Palate is very dry, herbal bitter. Very nice. A tad powdery.

On tap at the source last weekend, and then served from a growler into a Forest & Main pint glass. Pours a clear golden with visible carbonation. Nice white head with a good retention time and nice lacing on the way down. The nose is slightly grainy and backed by a bit of pepper and spice. The flavor is crisp and grainy, backed with subtle spice and yeast notes. Light body and fairly-heavy carbonation. Really easy to drink. Mild, but fantastic for the session saison that it is.

On tap at F&M. Pours light gold with tan head. Lemon, clove, rotten eggs, hay. Moderately bitter and sweet. A bit acidic. Body was light and crisp. Sulfur smell knocked my rating down a couple of points.

Hazy golden body, foamy white head, streaky lacing. Nose shows a light musty farmhouse funk, and grainy, citric, and peppery yeast notes. Medium bodied, good carbonation, refreshing, dry finish. Quality bretted-saison.

Draft at F&M. Pours gold, hazy, with white clingy head. Nose is pale malt, funk, earthy yeasty notes. Tastes funky yeasty malty, with cobwebby esters, grainy hops, a smooth finish, and notes of tropical fruit as it warmed.

Definitely the real deal here. Let’s step past the perfect presentation of golden color, white fine foam... Excellent use of the Dupont yeast with full dupont aromatics in the pastoral, heather, earthy range with a minimized phenolic side. This marries well with a solid edge of Noble hop bitterness and lightly floral and herbaceous qualities of this compact, well structured beer.
