On tap at the source last weekend, and then served from a growler into a Forest & Main pint glass. Pours a clear golden with visible carbonation. Nice white head with a good retention time and nice lacing on the way down. The nose is slightly grainy and backed by a bit of pepper and spice. The flavor is crisp and grainy, backed with subtle spice and yeast notes. Light body and fairly-heavy carbonation. Really easy to drink. Mild, but fantastic for the session saison that it is.

On tap at the brewery on Father’s Day. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of sweet citrus, spelt grain, and floral hops. Taste of old citrus, lemon skins, grapefruit, and toasted spelt. Wasn’t impressed with this.

20oz draft pours thick cloudy pale yellow with white head. Aroma is some mix of saison yeast with light clove and hefe banana. Taste is full bodied for the style with a creamy light banana and spice flavors, almost cream soda like. crushed my 20 oz in a few min

On tap at the brewpub, served in a tasting glass. Pours cloudy golden with a moderate white, fluffy head that remains and laces well. The nose has notes of pale malt, grass, lemon, citrus, coriander and orange peel. The flavour is dry with a nice moderate hoppiness up front that picks up and leads to a long, hoppy bitter finish. Notes of Belgian spice, lemon, white pepper, coriander and citrus peel come through as well. On the palate it is light-medium in body with a dryish texture and average carbonation. Overall, quite a nice hoppy saison. The bitterness really picks up in the end, making for a refreshing spicy summery brew. 2014-05-02

Tasted on tap at Forest & Main, PA, with ML. Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is hay, lemon, orange. Flavour is citrus, especially lemon, banana, mild spices and hops giving a bitter finish. Nice easy drinking saison that is not overpowered by spice.

4oz pour at the Fare. This was a treat. Aroma of banana, lemon, cornmeal, and barnyard. Pours really murky with a weird peach blonde color, almost like an unfiltered apple cider. Taste is lemon zest, barnyard, banana, slight nutmeg, and pepper. Very light and nice with some kickass taste. Reminds me of a really well-made grissette.

Bottle... Hazy light-yellow pour with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is a spicy, grainy fusion of coriander, wheat and grains of paradise. Medium-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor is almost painfully bitter with only a trace of acidity. Bone-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!
