2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
hazy amber, thinnest white head, spotty lacing. Light oak nose is lemon heavy, sugary grape skin. Sweet white grape front palate, lemon and toast mid before dough through the dryer end. Fizzy carb masks grains, result is simplistic, body too thin.

[ Tap ][ Forest & Main ][ 4oz ][ Mini Imperial Pint ][ $2 ][ 2/16/14 ]
>> Pours a clear orange with medium white head. Nose is sweet orange, pear, more on the sweet/estery side. Taste is sweeter, tannic apple, mild cinnamon spice, fairly sticky, similar to Solaire....this isn’t really a good saison at all...but for some reason when these are barrel aged and funkified they are insane. Maybe that is what the base beer needs to be in order to barrel age well.

Growler. Gold with faint haze and nice white head and lacing. Distinct musty spice nose. Nice crisp flavor, typical, a bit more malt here and some horse blanket mustiness. Hint of hop dryness in finish.
