3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BiddleBrau (766) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2012From a growler. I really like the color of this beer. Deep copper/mahogany with thin white head. Rich malty nose with dried fruit notes. Flavor is pretty big, malty, dry hops, hint of alcohol. Palate is full. Dryness lingers on the tongue and alcohol become a bit more apparent as this warms. Something I would definitely return to if it stays on tap. Nice job.

Muddy mahogany colored body, thin eggshell white head, spotty lacing. Nose and flavor profile consist of dark fruits, caramel, Belgian yeast and spicing. Medium to full bodied. Appropriately carbonated with a lingering semi-sweet finish.

Pours a dark ruby color with little to no head. Aroma has some dark fruity notes...not sweet...spicy/yeasty notes like faint clove. Flavor adds some earthy bitterness to cut through the fruit and yeasty notes. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is earthy and bitter.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 DeputyAndy (626) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 13, 2012
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a coca cola brown with an off white head.
Aroma has some faint spice to it. Flavor is very licorice/anise forward with a quick finish, very dry. Hides the high ABV very well.
