UPDATED: OCT 18, 2015 Bottel, 33cL. Home. Great label with young forest elves. A golden orange hazy beer with a huge white head ; medium retention. Biscuit, roast, fruit (pear, apple), herbs, sugar, alcohol. Light sweet, medium dry bitter, warming background. Medium good body, medium texture light oily, average carbonation, sweet fruity dry warming finish. Overall, really enjoyable ! Nice fruity character, dry warming belgian ale.

*Old rating, best before 09.2013. Frisches und leicht malziges Bier. Leicht dickflüssig-herb, floral und weich-süßlich mild. Lecker.

33cl bottle. Slightly hazy pale brown colour with a thin white head. Pears, lemon, honey and yeast in the aroma. Average to high carbonation and light body. Taste is strange with some acidity contrasting with honey and fruity notes. Overall, a different beer but with some weird character that didn’t allow me to like it completely.

CONCLUSION : indiscutablement spéciale, et indiscutablement originale.

Draught at the Brugge Beer Festival on 2nd Feb 2014. Nice white head on an orange/amber body, slightl mist to the pour. Aroma was a strange mixture lemons, other sour citrusness, caramel, yeast and sweeter fruits. The taste similar in that it was a weird blend of flavours with alcohol poured on. Sweet yet also fairly sour, different and interesting and I am sure it helped to give me a hangover, something I rarely get anymore!

Bottle @ Cambrinus, Brugge. Golden colour, white foam, disappears quickly. Fruity aroma with notes of citrus, lemon and flowers. Bit sweet, sour hints, bitter finish. Not very well balanced but ok.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2014 ’Mysterious’ spice beer with loose, snow white head and orangey amber colour, lightly misty. Unusual aroma of lemon, sour candy, peach, honey, candied fruits, mint, caramel. Fresh lemony acidity in the onset, turning more sweetish, even a bit sugary, peach, honey, caramel malts, sweet and bit cloying finish - a tad too sweet for my taste. Nevertheless a complex and fascinating ale.
