I really like the Forestinne beers I’ve drunken yet, because they tasted fresh and different than all the other boring Belgian beers, so I was looking very forward to this one. It pours out in a very light hazy, more clear, golden colour with airy head and medium body. Nose of grass and fresh hops. Taste of young hops, fresh Belgian yeast, grass, mild apples, torf, leaves, caramel and berries. Very easy and nice to drink - quaffable and refreshing. Enjoyed it a lot.

Hazy golden color that starts with a big white head but quickly fades out keeping a thin lace around the glass. Aroma is yeasty and citrus, hints of something soar. Flavor is quite sweet and soar with some acidity, light bodied with a soft carbonation, mouthfeel is quite balanced sweet soar finish.

24/III/13 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: IX/2014 (2013-265)

Clear light blond beer, irregular creamy white head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: pretty spicy, coriander, orange peel, hay, bit sweet and sugary, floral, soapy notes, maraschino cherries. When swivelling the beer around in the glass you get notes of almond, amaretto and marzipan. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet start, sugary, canned fruits on syrup, little weird bitterness, bit metallic. Aftertaste: bitter, medicinal, more metallic, sugary, canned peaches, hint of amaretto, bitter almonds and cloves.

Draught sample@Festival brassicole de Tournai 2013. - Brewer talked me into this, looking for a sweeter beer for my mother. Even for her, this honey-spice of a doughey triple was too much to finish. Oily palate, not much foam, dark yellow. Doughey malts and the cloying aroma of a herbal wild honey that I prefer not to associate with beer. probably well-crafted for the style, but this wallonian specialty caters to a generally sweeter palate and would probably please meadheads.

Bottle at Delirium Hoppy Loft. According to the bartender, the brewer of this digs American & such styles but doesn’t really brew them. Should he? Dunno. Maybe, but this beer was, in any case a disappointment. Full golden body with a white head. Apple compte aroma. Sweet, very sweet malty taste, dust, tobacco and carrot. Messy and while it can hardly be called crap, it was certainly the most disappointing beer of the night. Hope my next one from them will be better!

33 cl. bottle @ De Kelk. I always mean to get down to ticking these but I always get sidetracked. Bright hazy orange with a white head (solid). Strongly yeasty, almost pure yeast in the nose, light fruits, touch sweet spices, baking dough & some sweetness. Tad synthetic profile, lots of yeast, lightly bitter, touch lightly plastic fruits, caramel & some herbs. Full, heavy yeast body. It is not bad but also a bit too inoffensive for its own good.

Bottle. Pours a bright yellow beer with a soft white head on top. Aroma is fresh, full of citrus and fruity yeasty esters. Flavor has a few citric aspects and some sour bready notes. Medium carbo and a short finish. Easy drinkable, refreshing. Great after a meal!

(From notes 16.11.12) Tap. Served quite cold (too much so). Refreshing aroma, some spice /herb stands out, but what? Perhaps hints of pine. Different.

Bottle at Muro. Thanks for sharing as well as letting us stay at your place for the weekend! Pours hazy golden with quite a few bubbles and nice white head. Aroma is herbs, malt and honey. Flavor is malt, herbs, hops and a bit of licorice.
